No exaggeration, I promise smile.gif

I heard about this diet in an ebook that I purchased, another name for this diet would be the Ketogenic Diet. A lot of research has been done on it, and it's proven to be highly effective. Google it yourself! Anyway, the concept is eating a 90% fat diet puts your body into ketosis and helps to burn 1 pound of fat a day.

I've been on this diet for about 5 days now and so far I've lost 4 pounds. There are a lot of variations of the diet, it's best to google them...but I prefer bacon and eggs because it really helps to eliminate my cravings happy.gif

As for safety, it's probably not very safe since you're intaking such a high amount of fat, and not getting enough carbs + protein. Strict dieting can also lead to vitamin deficiency so be careful...if you do try it, you should probably consult a physician beforehand.

What I basically did was eat four meals of bacon and eggs (2 strips of bacon, two large eggs) a day. That's 1200 calories, 90% of which are from fat.

Enjoy!

actually ketogenic diet is the best for some people, especially those with specific ailments in their health. It has been proven to be extremely helpful for some people! Though you should google more and research more so you understand it better.

Interesting.

...I'd try it but I think I'd get sick of having to eat nothing but that everyday.

This kind of diet is VERY taxing on the liver and kidneys. Especially since meat and eggs these days are either from animals who have been injected with all sorts of stuff, or because they're injected themselves with stuff. Especially bacon. Nitrates much? Frankly I'd be afraid of getting acne too, from all that fat.

Yes you lose 10-15 pounds in the first week. Most of it is water weight. And most people when they stop, they gain it all back.

not only will you get loads of cholesterol and pimples, but arent getting enough of other important nutrients.
and isnt it gonna have a yo-yo effect?i mean you gain all the fat back when you stop the diet?

If you guys don't like bacon and eggs, you can try other meals that have 90% fat cals. Either calculate it yourself, or google ketogenic mealplans.

but try to eat carb the next day, you'll gain 10 bls back in a hurry= all u lost was water, not fat. it's all a misconception. i did tried it, it lost 5-10 bls in a hurry like u said but also gain back the next day after i ate carb. so it's not true loss of fat, it's water loss only.

Everyone who is discounting this diet should really do the research on the diet. Read up on some forums about it. http://forum.bodybuilding.com/forumdisplay.php?f=61

Chances are, if you know about keto, you probably know how to eat properly so that when you stop the diet, you won't gain it back.
