I ate at a Turkish restaurant called the "ALA TURKA" in San Francisco and I really liked this type off food, especially the grill meat "Shish kebob" dishes.
and the Shawarmas, kind of like a Turkish Gyro sandwich
I also tried this drink called Ayran, it's a yogurt drink thats very popular in the middle east, Turkey , Iran, Iraq, Syria, etc

I think Turkish, Greek, and Middle Eastern, and Mediterranean(maybe?) food are generally the same with maybe a few tweaks.
And they all claim they made it XD
I'm part Armenian (used to be Turkey before the genocide :x ) and I LOVEEE middle eastern food.
Gyro is almost like their version of hamburger
I love it!
And lamb kabobs and souvlaki @_@ -drool-
Baklava is a really tasty unique dessert too
<3 one of my favorites!
So hungry now T_T
