Have you been sick or anything lately? It could've thrown off your period a little.
Or have you changed your eating habits or anything?

Next time you might want to post in the section specifically related towards girl's health, but I believe it's just old blood that's been there in your uterus for a little since it was getting ready for that egg to come attach to the wall
This is off a site with a doctor's insight.
Question
What does it mean when the blood during my periods is extremely dark red, which then goes dark brown?
Answer
"From your age and current health, and with the absence of any other symptoms I think this is entirely normal.
This is simply blood from the lining of your womb that has been present for a day or two before being passed and so which looks darker than the usual fresher blood. This may come and go, but unless you get any other new symptoms linked to your period – in which case tell your doctor – then I would leave things alone here. I hope this helps."

Don't worry about it, hope this answers your question though!

just watch your period for a while each time you have it. if it continues longer than you think it should i.e. for 2-3 months than you can always go to your doctor/obgyn and get checked out to make sure that nothing is wrong. (:
