they are signed under universal?
from my understanding indie rock isn't a genre, its just a label to seperate musicians that are independently signed or unsigned and signed under major labels.
had a listen to the song, sounds like pop rock to me.

yeah, but there is like a certain "indie" sound.
i like Fleet Foxes, and Bon Iver alot right now. The indie electronic scene, all the bands sound the same.

However, I feel like sometimes they are way off in what they deem as similar, haha.
I think 'indie' has lost its actual meaning for quite a while now...
