I don't know if I posted this in the correct section O_________O Correct me if I'm wrong!

--

I'm 16 turning 17 in October.
Do you ask permission from your parents to hangout with friends or sleepover? etc?
When my friend invites me somewhere, I don't even go to my mom and ask her, I just say yes
My mom would say yes anyways, (last year she told me as long as I'm happy, then shes happy; get my grades up .____.)
Its not like I'm a 'rebel', but my mom is fine with wherever I'm going.
Sometimes I go out and come home at 10pm, but I do call her if I'm out that late just so she doesn't worry I got kidnapped.
In Feb, I went to Lake Tahoe with only my 17 y/o friend, and two 18 y/o guys that my friend knows.

When I talk to my friends about that topic, they think I have too much freedom
I think I do in someway, because I'm bratty/stubborn now
& my grades dropped, badly >>

No. I just tell them I'm going out with friends and leave.
I am 19.

But when I was younger, I would ask just to be "good" because my older sisters never asked. Then I got fed up when they kept saying no, so I stopped asking and just went.

i always ask permission if i need to go somewhere especially i'll be out for quite a long time. i also say yes to my friends even though i still didn't ask permission from my mom.

you're very lucky cuz your mom allow you all the time. my mom says no when it comes to sleepovers. though she allowed me recently.. biggrin.gif

when it comes to going home late, i also call her.. i stay really late at night and usually go home around 11pm to 12 mid. but i make sure a driver or a friend is with me when i stay late outside..

i'll be 17 this april 24.. biggrin.gif (forgot to tell biggrin.gif)

yeah, i'm 16. if i don't ask for permission my parents would freak out.
and theyr'e really annoying about saying yes or no. they're like "well it depends on my schedule" -__-
i can get home and to where i'm going alone; their schedule shouldn't matter. gah...
can't wait until i'm older.><

I'd let them know ahead of time. Sometimes I do, sometimes I just make the decision myself.

I always say yes.
Then I ask.. but I know the answer is going to be yes anyways.
They just want to know where I am.

I have to ask ==; I'm 13 years old, and my parents used to often say no until we moved to australia.
if i were in the philippines I'd have alot more freedom since I know loads of people there, but back in
new zealand i have to tell my parents 1 week advance if i want to go out o________o; But its probably
becaus both of my parents work from when i get home 'till night, and on the weekends in themorning
until afternoon. holidays they work the whole day ==; So im usedto just having to stay home and
make sure my 2 younger brothers (11 & 5) dont burn the house down, take a shower, flush the toilet & eat.
But since I've been having to do this since I was 9, I'm too lazy to get out of the house. I'd rather be watching
my japanese dramas <3

I inform! And I'm 16. I just usually say, "Hey I'm going to my friends, is that is okay with you?"
That's usually for sleepovers. But when I'm going out, I'm just "HEY I'm going out got my phone BYE!" xD

I don't ask permission but I tell them my whereabouts.
I'm actually off-age already so they allow me to go anywhere I want as long as I tell them where it is.
BUT they do not allow me to go to sleep overs.
It's weird, coz I can go home anytime I want and I can go out-of-town or out-of-the-country with my friends but they wouldn't allow me to go to sleepovers. But it's okay. They're not strict with me anyway.

I tell them beforehand. They've never been strict with me; and I'm an only child, too. I just turned 19 this month, but my parents don't want me going home late. No problem... I don't really like going out anyway.
