olivia ong, lisa ono, and ituana (if you look up on imeem, she does the cover for bob marley's songs but in bossa nova style lol.) if you go on imeem and search bossa nova, you'll find a lot.

Would Céu be considered bossanova? Regardless of whether she is or not, I highly recommend her.

Tom Jobin is like a genius here in Brazil, one of the most respected artist, his songs are amazing so he is really a must listen
ow i really like Lula's voice, its so soft and the song is cute, i never heard another country bossa nova but i will give a try with the names you guys said

Céu is actually more MPB (brazilian popular music) but since MPB was 'created' by the second generation of the bossa nova its worth to listen, if u like her you should search for Marisa Monte, Vanessa da Mata and Adriana Calcanhoto cause they are really good too

hmm i'm having mix feelings after watching those clips. it takes alot to cover songs that are originally awesome to begin with. but hearing it in a bossa nova rhythm albeit modern is interesting nonetheless.

It's understandable to have mix feelings.

I was actually unaware that they were all covers, well except 'a forest'.
But now I know! Good to know who was it by originally.

after a good sleep and listening to them again, they are starting to grow on me.

i think the purist in me just doesn't want to accept covers of awesome songs regardless of how well executed the covers are.
