I have an LG Neon and although it has some nice ringtones, I want to put my own songs as the ringtone. I tried mp3, wma, and aac formats but none of them work! It say it needs to be .drm which I believe is a encryption or something? I know you can hack a phone but it's void the warranty for my phone. Is there anything that I can do? I love my phone but this is the only that that frustrates me mad.gif

Also, if I load my song to a site and download it, will that work? I'm with Rogers if that helps...Thanks a million! biggrin.gif

dont try to download it from a site with your phone. The only thing i got was a 15 dollar internet bill >_______>
For DRM, you have to debrand your phone. and how do you do that? i have no idea.

BTW: i have the same problem as you.

Have you tried reducing the file size of the mp3? I know my phone only lets a file with a 300kb max be used >.< If you dont mind me asking, what model phone do you use?
always keep the faith ♥

Like what shikonari said you may have to limit the size of the song...like only 30 seconds worth to get it on the phone.

But if your phone continues to insist on drm files you will have to convert them I think to that format and then upload the song cut to your phone and place it into which ever folder they belong in.

I never worked with drm files before but you could try this place CLICK HERE

Glad to know I'm not the only one! biggrin.gif I remember I did that with my old phone and got a $14 charge but then again, it was a huge file=p.

The part I used is only 17 seconds anyways so it's not that big..I'm using an LG Neon also known as the TE365.

Thanks, I'll take a look but I've googled this problem and there seems to be nothing yet dry.gif The part is only 17 seconds so I think it HAS to be drm but I looked it up and apparently it's not a format, it's one of those legal things that they encrypt the file with.
