I was planning to take the second one in June but my parents keep telling me to take it in in the fall of my senior year and possibly December of 2009 o_o. The problem is - my SAT teacher told me to take the next one in June but my parents are keep disagreeing saying they are uncomfortable with me taking the next one in June. They feel that I should prepare strong during the whole summer (Almost everyday of SAT class at a learning center) and I would do better in the fall. Should I just go with my prep teacher and take the second one in June or follow my parents advice - prepare during the summer and take the second one in the fall of my senior year? I really need your help.
Also, I don't know if this is realistical but ... let's say if i do take my parents advice and prepare well throughout the whole summer - and take the sat's in the fall. Do you think I can get the score of my goal which is a 1850+ from a 1540 (which I took in March)? Just wondering. Please be honest. i jus wanna murder the SAT's and be over with it

Or if money is not a problem, take BOTH the June and October one.
Or you can get a fee waiver for both tests if your family is of low-income.
Taking the SAT December of your senior year is definitely pretty late; especially if you want to apply early decision to your school of first choice. Because FAFSA apps open in January and you need to have some schools you have in mind you are applying to to send the FAFSA info.
In my opinion, if you truly practice hard over the summer and do lots of practice tests, then 1850 should be easy to get on the October test. :]

I think you should just signup for the June one. That way - if you're satisfied with your June SATS score - you won't have to take classes over the summer OR sign up for the October one
But if you just signup for the October SATS and end up hating your score - you'll be left with the December SATS, which is pretty late
Take the one in June (listen to your SAT teacher!) and use the October one as a backup if you don't get around an 1850

i'd do both june & october. study your butt off now for june and if you reach your goal you won't even have to bother with october. but if you don't then you at least you'll have an indicator with your june score of how much you need to improve and take it in october. october is kind of like your last chance since december is a bit late so taking it then is kinda risky so i'd say take both june & october just to be sure.
i actually had this conflict too. whether to take it in june or october. i wanted to take both but my mom wont let me, saying how i'm wasting too much money lmao (i already took it twice). my last score was decent so i'm just gonna take it in october again to see if i could improve at all.
