You're missing out man, that movie is classic. Audrey Hepburn is ideal. <3

Based on the type of movies you like according to your OP, consider checking out:
-Before Sunrise
-Before Sunset (follow up to Before Sunrise)
-The Science of Sleep (Michel Gondry, same director as Eternal Sunshine...)
-Romeo + Juliet (kinda cheesy, but I love it)
-What We Talk About When We Talk About Love
-The Dreamers
-Amelie
-Benny & Joon
etc.

I'm much better at picking out romantic movies where the romance doesn't work out. In fact, most of the movies I've just listed sort of fit into that mold.

since most listed are romance, i'll try listing a few "thinking" movies. (although i don't watch much since i'm pretty slow when it comes to understanding movies) :

-Catch me if you can
-National Treasure. omg, i loveeeeee.
-The Da Vinci Code
-Gran Torino (actually, it doesnt really make you think, but it's just a great movie)
-Changeling

and of course A Walk to Remember.
you can never go wrong when you choose to watch that movie.
even if you're a guy. smile.gif

Old Boy.

NO, NO, I'm kidding, I'm an idiot. Anyone who doesn't get my joke, watch the movie.

Despite that I don't seem like it, I am a sucker for romantic movies. I don't mean WHY-DID-YOU-KILL-HIM-BUT-I-STILL-WANT-TO-BEAR-YOUR-CHILDREN kind of movies, but yeah, movies that make you think and bathe in the puddle of envy of your bedroom/living room/bathroom/neighbor's bedroom's floor.

I would have to say (well, that you didn't hypothetically watch it):

- Walk the Line (if you don't like country music, don't watch it)
- Memoirs of a Geisha (the ending will probably make you cry)

I just realized I can't think of a lot on the top of my head. I'll come back to this thread and try to add, but good luck!
