"Hi i was wondering if i can interview you! Please don't be scared. I'm not here to judge you or scare you and your not in any kind of trouble. Its for my psychology 140 class and i'm going on ____ (insert: facebook, myspace, friendster) to look for fakers. (People who are using other people's pictures pretending to be them) and i have some simple questions if you don't mind answering.. its just so other people can understand what gets into your head. 1) What do you rate yourself out of 10 (your REAL self) do you think you are confident or insecure. 2) When people comment on these stolen pictures and say "wow you are pretty" do you feel happy? Do say "thanks" and feel that this compliment is for you and not the person in the picture? 3) Do you think you have gain confidence and self-esteem from making friends and gaining compliments/comments from using others pictures? do you think you are delusional?
Thank you soo soo much!! i really hope you reply!!! It will help me so much this is a good topic!! "
Post there replies here.

And they are pretty crappy questions to be honest.
And maybe you should also consider their feelings, maybe they're ugly that's why they are using the pictures. Don't need to frikkin rub it in and make them feel even worse about themselves.

So posing as someone else is a good thing and I should just be all WOW YOURE SO PRETTY YOU LOOK JUST LIKE ____?
I've seen a lot of artworks stolen and people take credit for it. Why should I feel sorry for someone who can't be honest about who they are?
LOL a lot of people will be stubborn and pretend they are still whoever their picture is. And you expect me to feel sorry for them? LOL maybe they should consider the person they're stealing from and their feelings before you start telling us we should consider the stealers feelings first.
------------------------------
It'd be interesting to see the persons response to these questions, but I'm pretty sure they'll just ignore it.

I agree totally. I hate people that are mean to fakers.
I mean they have their own reasons for doing what they do.
What if the person that was faking had 3rd degree burns all over their face,
or a severe inferiority complex. You would just be making them feel worse...

It's not good, but I hink you should just ignore it.
If they aren't harming the person theyre pretending to be
(spreading rumors/acting badly) why does it offend you so much.
Attacking these people is just immature. They're not hurting you, but
it's annoying, so they deserve to be hurt?
And finally, honestly, if someone stole my pictures... I would be flattered
that they thought they were good enough to steal lol.

If i wanted to be mean i would be like "get the ***** off you *** ***** or i'll report you , you have no life you low life loser" and so forth.
I dont think we need to be harsh but i think we need to be understanding and at least ask them. I messaged one person and she did take off the pictures and then put her real photos on
seriously, its not being mean (well the way i wrote it) it makes them ask themselves.

So what questions would you ask them then? How are those questions making them feel worse? I think its gets them to think.
" you're a psychology student who can't spell" LOL i love these trolls, you can find them on WoW and Youtube.. that have nothing better to say but to piont out people's spelling.
Oh please.. its like school english exam for them every friggin day or something. Sorry its not.. forums and games are for fun.
last time i check you don't need to be a english major to do psychology. oh look i didn't capitalize after my period.

If you want to be flattered be my guest.
While using the picture and saying it's not actually you you just think ___ is pretty or good looking is fine.
But PRETENDING along with using the picture as your own isn't.
Isn't it just as immature and ignorant to just pretend it's okay what they're doing? Because you're supporting pretending to be someone you aren't actually.
We don't live in lala land, so if I see someone stealing from a store I should feel sorry because they might be poor?
Honestly, I'm not about to go do what the topic starter has said, but if it comes to the point where you have to ask the person politely to remove something because it doesn't belong to them then what's so bad about that? I'm talking about using everyday normal, non celebrity peoples images. Like say, your best friends picture.
I'm not saying they're F'in ugly. I don't even know what they look like. And who am I to judge if they're ugly?
I[personally, me myself and I not you.] think it's not right to just steal someone elses picture and pretend its them.
Poeple should just accept what they are, instead of always pretending. -cough-

The point of pretending to be someone is kinda stupid, and this is the internet, I'm sure you can make all sorts of friends even with a Anime display picture and just simply talking to one another like a friend. On another hand, it's also identity theft, and misrepresentation of the person which in my opinion is bad =\
If they are ugly, they don't have to hide behind being someone else. It's the internet, it's not like we're all holding a knife to people to see who they are in real life.

Exactly its not mean. and yes if they are insecure, this is for them to talk about it. So if they are insecure and be "confront" them by asking a question thats mean?
No its for them to answer it.. and its up to them if they want to answer it.
