as you can tell by the title, i would like to hear if anyone here has ever been burned by their own exhaust pipe after a drive or from another persons car.

I have two, after driving up from home then to school (which is about a a 4 hour drive), i get out of my friends car (335i) to get my luggage and got just a bit too close to the bumper i guess and paid the price. I got a nasty singe on my lower leg, prob. would have helped if i wore shorts.
Second time, i got into a friend of my friends car (mini cooper s, center exhaust) who was taking us to a party, and not to my knowledge he had been driving for a bit before hand. after we got there, he asked one of us to help get something out of his trunk and of course i did and got burned once again... (double fail). so yea those are my stories. please share and don't make me look like a tard by not posting lol. thank you.

When I was little my dad took my to a car show here in AZ. Some guy just pulled up in a Harley and I was looking around and a show car was pulling into the parking slot I was in, so I backed up and my leg pressed into the exhaust and got a 2nd degree burn. They took me to the movie theater next door and they put ice on it, bad idea. It exploded cuz it was filled with water and it started bleeding a lot, so I was taken to the hospital and they just put a gauss on it.

When I was a kid, I was riding with somebody on their motorcycle. Since I'm a lefty, I got off the wrong side of the bike and burned my left inner calf.

yup, on a bike. left a nasty mark and hurt like hell.
I won't bother since I won't read the rules and they won't accommodate.

Wow... headers can get around 1500*, that must have hurt like heck. I can put my hand near my exhaust manifold and it feels like an oven.

I dont really remember me getting burned by a exhaust. At a recent autox I drove my friends Miata. Right after I ran on the course he popped the hood and was doing something and he open palmed the header. It looked bad, were I were him i'd be crying like a baby, He still continued to race.

no, but some moron tried to grab a hold of my turbo manifold after doing about 12-13 pulls on the dyno, lol. he basically burned off a peice of skin on his hand.

also the g can already run mid 13s stock and the hks intakes adds an estimated 10 extra hp and the exhausts add like 8 so yeah it should shove off about 1.5 to 2 sec off my times

If flames getting shot out of an exhaust and burning all the hairs on my shin counts then yes

On my mini motorcycle that my dad bought for me when I was 13. Not exactly the exaust but the screw that keeps it on I was getting off and I didn't move my inside leg out of the way and bam. It hurt really bad for like a split second and then it just like started to bubble because of the hightemp and the cold outside weather.

yesssss I have! My uncle was leaning against his motor bike one day after puffing a cig, and I wanted to stand next to him. Didn't know the exhaust was hot, burned a good 2" diameter piece of skin off. It was hot. I still have the scar today =)

Seems like a number of ppl have been burnt by a motorcycle exhaust. I'm also one of them lol and yes I still have the scar on my left calf.

Didn't get off the bike properly and touched the exhaust pipe, that was years ago.
