How heavy you are depends a lot more on muscle mass, so you could have a bmi that says your overweight but be completely cut. Just adding that.

height: 5'6
Bicep size: 13.75-14 inches
weight: 155-160
max bench: 185
deadlift: 235
shoulder press: 115
curling: useless exercise. very little function in this muscle.

Also if you like, post your goals and how you plan to achieve them as well as your work out regimen.

Goals:

I would like to reach a solid mass of 160-165lbs of solid muscle. Currently I take no proteins and no muscle enhancement drugs or supplements; its all natural and I intend to keep it that way. I would like to reach at least 200lb bench press of 6 reps with a max of may be 225. Would also like to get to a 300lb deadlift. 100 pushups, 50 pullups. I would also like to be able to shoulder press 180lbs.

My motto to my work out regiment to achieving these goals is to max out on every set, regardless of reps. I pick a weight and do 6-10 reps (depending where you max out) and you max out every set for 3 sets pyramiding downward 10lbs for 3 times. At your max out rep you hold the weight in the position for as long as possible, so it acts as a negative. Doing this method, I've managed to get to 60lb dumbells and can probably go up to as much as 75 just with lower reps. I work out my one muscle group at a time and apply this to every workout. I do sprints, to increase the HGH released and also do weighted pullups. In between sets, you do a rest exercise; I normally do abs or back for sets of 30-50.

For increasing my pushups, I'm doing them in between chest exercise sets and making sure i max out every time. For pullups, I do weighted. I stay away from bicep curls because I find they don't really have a useful function and so it takes away time from working something else out.

If you guys have any suggestions or mods to this I'm open to advice.

Post your work out regimens. Lets get big together! lol

^Nice stats and goals

Height: 5'9"
Weight: 162lbs
Flat bench: Never tried, but usually get like 225 x 3 on my last set
Deadlift: 225 x 10
Squat: 185 x 8 (bad knees :-/)
(Never tried 1-rep max PR's, so just listed my final set numbers)

Goals: Get back up to 170, but cut a lot of the water weight and fat I've got going on right now. Start sleeping and eating better. Get my flat bench up to 275-315 someday to catch up to my friend, lol.

all i know is that i work my biceps and back on day,
triceps and chest the next,
legs and shoulders,
then abs.
my school gym is only open 4 days a week, so thats about all i can work out.

i also drink Muscle Milk after every workout.

i dont have measurements, but i can only bench about 85 pounds. dont laugh. . . haha. jk. but it was an improvement since i've been working out.
but as for goals.. im tryin to look like Taeyang from Big Bang. hahaha.

i want to ask, how many of you are girls? it's so rare to see other chicks weightlifting but it's so fun and beneficial for us girls too!

height: 5'0
weight: 105ish, not sure i haven't actually weighed myself in a long time
bench press: 60
deadlift: 95
squat: 85

short term goals are to be able to deadlift and squat my body weight.

i don't really have any specific long term goals, i just want to keep lifting heavier. smile.gif it'd also be nice to get leaner and get rid of any flab i have! i drink 100% ON whey protein shakes and i generally try to have a calorie split of 40 protein/30 carbs/30 fat.

I've only been lifting for like 2 months. It's so rare to see a girl who isn't afraid to lift heavy weights! It kills me when I see girls curling 5 lb dumbbells like 10,000 times in front of the mirror thinking it will tone their arms.

I deadlifted body weight today I wanted to run around the gym and tell all the bros but no one would probably care since it's only 105 lbs ahah

Only 105lbs? That is unimportant it is personal accomplishment and an achievment worth memorializing ~ congratulations- Besides the fact that a very small percentile of actual gym goers actually deadlift and an even tinier percentile do it on the regular.

Respect ~

i only focus on the olympic lifts even though i should be working on the weaknesses (bench/squats) since i wrestle. anyways

weight - 135
bench - 195
single arm snatch - 85's for 3 reps
hang cleans - 160
hex bar deadlift - 265
front squat - 225
weighted pull up - i get 5 reps w/ 57.5lbs on me, never did a 1RM (1rm's are dumb)

only reason why we tested our 1rm is because we were supposed to record our progress. i don't care about getting big, i just needa get faster & more powerful (even though power = strength + speed).

If you don't count the numbers, how do you keep track of your improvement? tongue.gif

It's been seven weeks since I started eating semi-healthy and weight lifting. I started at 110lbs and now I'm down to 106. That's 4 lbs in seven weeks.

Seriously though, I'm a lazy slob. I don't even do cardio. All I do is eat healthy and lift weights for 4-5 hours a week.

I'm so glad I tried lifting. More people should really do this. smile.gif
