My counselor kept telling me cornell has a great ag program, and I think she meant the cornell college of agriculture and life sciences.

do you apply to that separately?
or do you choose to go there after you get in?

you apply for the appropriate major. the major will be within that particular school.
i.e. you applying as an agricultural science major (whatever it's called), and that major belongs to the College of agriculture and life sciences at Cornell.

yeah, you apply to that school when you apply because you choose your major^
but if you happen to apply for a diff. major it's possible to do an internal transfer from one college to another w/in cornell
