I'm going to UCI as a freshman and I'm unsure if I should dorm right now or not because I didn't receive financial aid and I would have to take a huge loan if I want to dorm.
But I was wondering if they let students apply for housing for the second semester.
Thanks!

All I can think of is that maybe you could add yourself to the housing waitlist once second quarter comes around, but it pretty much will be a 0% chance that you get placed in a room because by second quarter, pretty much everyone is settled and few people move out. Plus if you don't apply for housing as a freshman, you forfeit your two-year guarantee for housing.

^yep what that person said. it'll be tough to get housing. housing leases are usually from june to june or september to september.
besides that it'll be tough to find housing off campus too. housing in irvine is expensive, if you want to look for less expensive apartments you have to go further.
you'll be missing out on a lot too if you don't dorm.
its where people meet friends.
