Ok so girls, what happens when a guy confesses that he really likes you or he starts getting alot closer to you and you start noticing it. Do you panic and start avoiding him and things become awkward or do you tell him up front that you don't like him because you don't see him that way and that it'd be best to stay only as friends?

Guys, what do you do if a girl starts becoming alot more closer to you and you get the feeling that she likes you but you don't like her back? Would you do the same thing and avoid her or just tell her up front?

I exactly had/ have this situation. a guy friend of mine started liking me and lately he was always giving signs and for me the whole situation was awkward because i don't want to give him false hopes or hurt our friendship.
yesterday he was giving signs again and i told him, that i only see him as a good friend + I'm falling for another person.
the the nightmare begins.
we're really awkward at the moment and he use every oppourtunity to "diss" me.
I thinks his actions are really childish but whatever. if he thinks it can solve everything.. -.-
I think the best way is to tell him what's on ur mind. it's better to let him know the truth than giving him false hopes.

It's always best to be upfront about it. It will hurt their feelings more later if they go on thinking that you might like them back than it will hurt their feelings if you make it clear to them now that you're not interested in them in that way.

I have that problem at the moment. There's this guy who keeps hinting that he likes me (and actually indirectly asked me out). I have a bf, but apparently he doesn't know... Idk how to tell him without making things awkward! He's super nice too. :S

Well, I wouldn't tell someone i didn't like them if they didn't tell me they liked me first, haha.
Even if all the signs are there, i won't say anything just incase i'm like "um... i'm sorry, but i don't like you like that...",
and then the chance of them saying something like "uh, i don't like you either? what made you think that?", or
something, haha xD

But if a guy tells me he likes me or does something major like try to kiss me, i'll tell him straight up that
i don't like him... i mean, i think it would hurt him more in the end if i lead him on, then if i tell him
straight up i don't like him ^^; but i'm not the type of person who would make it awkward afterward (:
