So, I am getting ready to transfer from a community college to a four-year university. I was told to send them my latest transcript once the semester is over, and then they would make the decision. The problem is, my grades for this semester consist of an A-, A-, A-, and...an E. That's right, I didn't pass the class. The E was in a two-credit course (that seemed more like a four-credit course!), while my A-'s are from three/four-credit courses.

The class I got an E in is not pertinent to my major.

My question is, are they likely to reject me after seeing this? :/

did they impose any conditions prior to you sending the transcript? chances are they will let you in anyway or ask you why you got the E and if there are any mitigating circumstances.

Them looking over your transcript will provide them information on where you stand on getting into the school, some school will give you an assessment test if you're going to be a transfer student who did attempt to get how ever many credit was needed, and they offer you to just be a "new student" as a freshmen.

No, they didn't list any criteria that I needed to meet.

I guess all I can do now is sit and wait...but I will probably make an appointment with the admissions people.
