mm. about body types, i suppose.
i'm super skinny. i can't help it.
no matter what i do, i can't seem to gain weight.
i eat and eat and eat and eat.
but i go back to my normal weight in the morning.
none of it seems to stick to my body.
which is REALLY frustrating.
[i'm 90lbs and 5'6". i know, "ewwww." >:|]
but for me, no matter what i do, i can't gain weight.
from middle school [6th] to college [freshman] i've only gained 40 lbs.
edit again.
40 lbs
LOL that's nothing.
you just grew up
of course your bones grow and that's added to your weight
LOL then eat!
it's easy isn't it?
i don't quite share the same sentiments as you
if you're gonna complain and whine about it then DO SOMETHING about it

but really, dont worry about how you look. people that dont know you might think you dont eat or that you chose to be that way or something, but the people that matter do know that this is your body and you cant do anything to change it.

If you want to gain weight, you have to do other stuff besides from eating more. You have to exercise to gain some muscle, and no, you will not bulk up and be all manly if you do. Try searching for stuff on google, you might be surprised.
Or, if anything, you can eat a bunch of donuts/other-fattening-food and go to sleep, which is what I heard some actresses did in order to gain weight for a role. But then you might just be one of those skinny-fat people. It´s better to be lean.

^ Basically what I was going to say.
Don't eat a bunch of grease/fat/unhealthy food to gain weight, go to the gym and work out a bit.
You'll gain muscle weight and be healthier; eat lean meat and vegetables.
Also have you seen your doctor about it? 90 lbs and 5'6 is really unhealthily skinny =T

well i can see why he's saying you're insensitive.
I'm a pretty chubby girl. Just as you say you'd rather be chubby than how you are now, I'd rather be like you and not be able to gain weight
But I mean we all want what we can't have, right? and I don't know what kind of problems you may face not being able to gain weight and being super skinny and at the same time you might not understand a lot of the insecurities of being a chubby girl. So like I'm probably insensitive to girls like you who can't gain weight in the same way you're insensitive to chubby girls?
Basically our insensitivity towards each other comes from ignorance.
I don't know if that made any sense, I'm just rambling now.
And trust me, us chubby girls do try to lose weight and work out. Well at least I do. Work out 2 hours a day, weight and cardio, and all I lose is 3 pounds in a month. and if i eat ONE little junky fat food I gain it all back.
and if i do lose weight, i have to eat like one carrot a day to keep it off. SUCKS TO BE ME!
But.. I'd still rather be super skinny. I think guys would rather have a super skinny girl than a chubby girl. *sigh.

and people have told me to take birth control cus they say it made them gain weight
and dont bother trying to get muscles, it may be a bigger number on the weight scale
but visually more muscle may make you look even thinner, you want to hold on to the
little fat you have in your body =/
thats why i stoped doing weights/pushups ect, they just made me look thinner and thinner
besides fatty high calorie foods , i found that eating alot of sweets(cookies, cake, candy )
helps put on pounds since it just converts to...well..useless mass lol
ive been skinny all my life and have had all sorts of crazy dieting habits and nothing
has made me gain weight T_T

Personally, being on the fat/chubby side, I can only speak for myself but I'd rather be on the skinny side trying to gain weight. It's a lot easier to eat food than it is to restrict it, at least for me.
I'm sure if you measure out your calorie required to gain weight, you can easily gain weight. Gaining weight is going to be like losing weight. It's not going to be easy. Albeit its probably easier than losing weight. Eat calorie dense food like peanut butter. If you just eat 300-500 calories more a day than you normally do (1-2 servings of pb), you'll gain 1 lb a week. It will take some time to gain weight though. I'm not sure how HARD you've tried to gain weight, but you have to be pretty accurate in terms of what you are eating. You can't just eat and assume you ate a lot and you didnt gain weight the next day. It takes a lot of time to gain weight.

..
Just joking, that's what my uncle always say to me. You know, there's no such thing as "impossible", you've just got to try. You should feel blessed, there's so much obese people in this world, suffering to shed even just 1lb. :/ Go eat fast foods daily, stay indoors often, sleep after eating and you can see difference.

Well, right now. I've been only eating healthy food. I'm not allowed to eat flour so that automatically cuts out a lot of greasy food. :x My mom makes healthy korean food for me to eat everyday. But erhm, I have lots of meals everyday. I eat whenever I feel like it. Even when I went to Korea over the summer, I exercised a lot and ate wholesome and healthy food. ..Though I did eat a bit of junk food every now and then. I walked a lot every day for 2 months. And yet.. I didn't gain anything. :|

-running XX miles every day
-making sure not to slip once and eat junk food
-checking the calories on everything
Losing weight requires sweat, persistence, patience, and self-control. Gaining weight requires sloppiness.
And trying to lose weight myself, it's very difficult. I run two miles one day and make sure I don't eat anything unhealthy, but I feel the same the next day.

So you've tried everything to gain way and you couldn't? but you say fat people can lose weight easier if they wanted/determined to do so???
WEre you determined to gain weight? and did you gain it?
You shouldn't complaint that no one understand you! You can't even understand other people!!
At least you have a chance of having a bf. Do you think fat people can? Do you believe fat people don't try as hard as you do?
DON'T COMPLAINT just be happy and CONFIDENCE WITH YOUR BODY!! as you get older you'll lose that metabolism and I'm 100% sure you'll gain weight!!
so don't be mad at your bf!

What you're saying kinda goes with exactly what I said, haha. You sound like you don't gain weight because you don't monitor how much you eat and plan to overeat. If your family meals are healthy and you eat junk food every now and then, you dont sound like you would gain weight. Why can't you eat flour btw? I gained like 15 lb over 9 months by eating dorm food! Granted, I was overweight at the time (meaning I can eat more to maintain my weight and gain weight), but that gives you the idea how long I had to overeat to gain that much weight.
Just eat calorie dense food o_o. Peanut butter, nuts, etc. You don't have to eat junk food, but it sure does help haha.
