Lose Inches, Not Pounds?

I see a lot of threads here asking tips on how to lose weight, but I'm not concerned with dropping pounds as much as inches--because after all, it's your measurements that determine what size clothes you fit into. :] And to me, it doesn't matter how much you weight. Muscles weigh a lot more than fat, and I'd like to be toned.

So, I know you still need to diet to lose that, but is there a specific way to get a smaller waist, thighs, butt, etc., without necessarily losing pounds?

For reference, I am 105 lbs and 5'2". My measurements are 34-25-34 (bust-waist-hips) and my legs are 30".

you'll eventually have to drop some weight, but toning up (via running, stretching, yoga, pilates, whatever) will ultimately help trim your figure down. most people figure that they need to loose fat AND muscles to get leaner. this is not the case! muscles>fat. hehe.

To tone up some more, other than yoga and pilates, will doing some light weights help tone overall? I really want to tone my legs more(mainly my thighs) but I cant afford to lose any more weight without becoming really underweight. I'm not sure how to tone my thighs more without losing weight? Will running do that or will that only affect my calves?

If you have membership to the gym or a gym you can access, they have actual weight lifting machines. Those will really tone you up w/o bulking. They have machines for inner thigh, outer thigh, and so on.
