Well, if guy 1 finds out that you start going out with guy 2, assuming you say yes to guy 2, then it's going to hurt him. But if he didn't say he's going to wait for you, or haven't mentioned anything about asking you out again, don't bother with him, you shouldn't feel obligated to explain to him. Feelings aren't about obligations, and you are not required to explain to a guy that likes you that you like another guy. So I'm saying, don't explain to the first guy, and just go with what you feel is right for you. If guy 1 finds out and he confronts you, be straight up honest with him. That's the least you can do.
