Tips On Gaining Weight?

Okay now first off no i am not anorexic...although i think i'm too skinny sad.gif and others think i'm anorexically skinny ...but they know im not. Like seriously man, one day in p.e i was in a teeshirt and then i went to go pick up the pingpong ball and was life OMFG my wrist + hand is so friggen skinny and freaky. Argh!!! I think my body would look sooo much better if i could just gain that extra weight. !! oh yea and my face is fat not skinny...and my thighs are a bit bigger too. i wonder if all my fat only goes to those places and not my arms+legs...==?

Anyways, so i was wondering what could i eat?? Don't say junk food because trust me man, it does NOT work for me. I guess i have a fast metabolism? secondly, i eat quite a lot i think T_T. agggh i can't find any way...i hate being so skinny =_=. both my mom and dad were really skinny when they were in their teens too...my mom said my dad was super skinny when he was younger too but then started eating like mad cause he didn't want to be so skinny.....:s


*****oh yea and also i had another question....but might as well use this topic too instead of starting a new one.
is it bad to workout when you're sick???like maybe it'll weaken the immune system? i dono :s cause i usually exercise everyday but i'm sick today sad.gif bad congestion+sore throat and cough sad.gif

hahaha! your like me, people tell me to eat junk food and i don't think it works.
For me i gained a few kg by eating normal food but a bit of a larger porportion after 2 months i weigh myself and i gained a kilo biggrin.gif!
that's like the only way i can gain weight .. =/
yeh... Not sure what to put on here anymore

To gain weight, you have to eat more calories than you burn overall during the day. Start tracking what you eat and how much calories your eating in one day. Google a calorie intake calculator to find out how much you need to be eating a day, and then add 300-500 more calories than that amount and you should gain some weight in a few weeks' time smile.gif Dont stuff yourself with junk food, and include some high calorie but healthier food such as various nuts, peanut butter, fish, corn, lots of carbs like potatoes, whole grain pasta bagels and breads, rice, ect. and add dressings and gravies to your salads, sandwiches and mashed potatoes. Drinking milk and concentrated fruit juice(like apple juice or orange juice) is a great way to add more calories to your daily intake so if you cant eat enough, you can always drink things with more calories. smile.gif If you need more help just pm me or reply me on here, right now im successfully gaining some weight(im underweight so its my goal to gain some more ^^) and i think i've been pretty healthy in doing so. Annd, its probably not that advisable to be working out when your sick - maybe a very light work out, but you should probably wait until your feeling better before any intense workouts. Good luck!

Exercising when your sick in beneficial according to Men's Health magazine. It increases you bodies temperature, produces lactic acid, exposes viruses/baceria to oxgyen making it harder for them to survive (they don't get the same benefit from antioxidant that our cells do). Promotes good hormones for repair and reduce stress hormone, increase oxygen uptake in cells speeding up recover... just trust me smile.gif

i eat about 3 bowls of rice everyday but still
don't gain weight >< but fit !

First rule of gaining weight, make sure it's healthy while you are doing it, you don't want to get food poisoning or any sort of illness from eating unhealthy food, this may seem like this is 'losing' weight, but you need to take care of your body.

As Kui said, eat more than you work off, keep track on your intake and so on. To complex for me, i'm happy with my weight XD.

Fastfood isn't the best and only way to go, just brag your parents/roommates/friends to make more food for you (:, they'll be happy to cook for you, since they love you .. yes?!

for me...i eat a lot of healthy food (my roommates a chef) and EXERCISE...i gain a big WOOPING 10lbs in 2 weeks..goooood stuff
I don't know about you, but I'm not living off a 40-40 for my life.

to strictly gain weight

1. eat your ass off
2. sit all day

regarding exercise & the immune system. it depends on the intensity of the exercise. for example exerting yourself too much will weaken your immune system (because your body will be too busy repairing itself rather than dealing with the cold). inversely, going on a light jog will boost your immune system because it gets the blood flowing, circulating nutrients throughout your body.

2 ways to gain weight:)
1. EaT EAT EAT EAT EAT EAT EAT EAT
2. Try to exercise 30 mins. every single day (be healthy)
