and now I'm scared haha
Does everyone get wisdom teeth? and does everyone have to remove them?
What's the percentage of people having it anyway TT^TT
I'm 15......so I don't think I have them but what are the chances that I have them and have to remove them........
sorry if someone already posted this.

I think everyone has them- some people just aren't bothered by the pain. That or they already had a lot of space in their mouth to begin with.
Oh BTW, I didn't get mine removed. They're still here. I guess I have a big mouth X]

Your dentist will recommend it if he notices that while your wisdom teeth are growing in, that there seems to not be enough room in your mouth for them.
The good part is that although you'll be swollen for about a week(or less), since it's so common people will understand why you look like a talking watermelon~

It'll probably be better in the long run.
I have to get mine removed in the summer and I don't like surgery either.
I'm not even going to be using pain killers after since I can't swallow a pill bigger than birth control.

My brother has all 4 but only had 2 pulled out right now so he actually has to go back later and get the rest pulled out. When he got it pulled out he says it wasn't that bad but he went under anesthesia so he was asleep the whole time bc the 2 he got pulled out was growing sideways and not up and down but he was a cute chipmunk for a couple of days.
and my mom has never had any wisdom teeth which makes me jealous.

My recommendation, get all 4 pull out, because like Billie said, its just going to help in the long run. If you decided to get it out later when you get old..its going to hurt MORE AND its going to take a while to heal.
So again, it's best you take it out asap, because your gum heal fast when you're young.
I got mine pull out last summer, 2 on the bottom. Next week, 2 on top. Now I got mine all out

My wisdom teeth on the bottom jaw are growing inwards so I might have to get oral surgery on it. Ahhh.. I'm scared. They're not even out of the gum yet!

Usually just get it examine and see if you need to have them taken out.
Also, when i got mine taken out, i was there awake and felt the whole thing (well, i had anesthetic so i didn't "feel" pain) usually after a couple of afters i felt it. What made it even more frustrating was that the pain killers they gave me didn't work at all.

if it grows beautifully straight, its okay to keep them. but if it grows vertically, then u have to remove it because it will cause the tooth besides it to get cavities.
anyway, they'll shot you with anesthetic so u won't feel the pain. and the swollen gums will be there for a week before it goes off. its best to keep the surgery place clean by gargling with warm salt water cause u can't really clean the surgery part.
and its best to remove 2 at one time which is the lower and the upper one. give urself a break, probably around 3 weeks or so and take out the other side.
and! get it remove when you are in your twenties, it heels faster & better.
hope this help

She watched the video and freaked herself out, it was... amusing, despite how much a spazz she can be.
Anyway, mmm... Many people get them, but there are those who don't, like my dad's side of the family. It's odd :| Mine started to grow when I was 17, and I had the top two removed. I would've gotten the bottom two removed as well, but one on the bottom wasn't fully grown. It never grew since then and I'm 20. However, after a dental checkup and really good x-rays last February, we saw that the one that didn't fully grow was actually... angled :x It's hard to explain but it definitely wasn't good so a few weeks later, I went to the oral surgeon and they took care of it pretty quickly.
The surgery only lasted like 20-30 minutes, I think? I was asleep the whole entire time and the anesthesia is... Wow. Knocked me out right away. I even had a dream lols. Best sleep I ever had in a really long time
As for pain, the only time it ever hurt was when the anesthesia was wearing off. Just make sure to take the pain killers they give you, and blahblah, you'll be all right. My main problem was not being able to eat rice for two weeks, and when you brush your teeth... Now that was just a pain in the neck :|||

if you get put to sleep, though, then it isn't that bad. My mouth hurt for about a week, but it wasn't anything intolerable.
even if you're conscious throughout the operation it doesn't hurt, it's just a bit freaky to know they're opening up your gums haha.
the only thing you have to worry about is dry sockets...oh lord that was the most painful experience of my life T_T (you won't get dry sockets if you follow the instructions your surgeon gives you).
