I'm hearing more and more talk about prom as the the school year nears an end.
I have to say, I'm a little jealous of all you lucky jerks who get to go. xD

It's not that my mom won't let me, or that I don't want to go in general, no. There's just been some... complications with school, and I dropped out and went to find work instead (before you say anything about the 'dropping out of school' thing, me and my mom have talked it through and I do happen to have a plan for my future).
Either way, I don't think I would have got to go even if I was still in school because:
a ). I wouldn't have a date, and the chances of someone asking me is like 0.0000001 in a billion; I've got bad luck with the boyfriend/girlfriend area. 8D;;
b ). None of my school friends would be old enough to go; Another complicated matter, but yeah, so I would have to go by myself.

Well, it kinda makes me sad that I can't go to prom. u_u
It's been my dream since I was little.
I remember peering into the doors of a high school I used to live by with my friend, and we would say how awesome our high school lives were going to be and how much fun we'll have at prom. Me and my friend would talk about prom allll day sometimes; Making up scenarios and stuff.
My dream won't come true. ;-;
I wanna be able to get all pretty for someone I like and go to the biggest party of the year. D:
So close, but so far.

Who else can't go, or is just not going?
I'm begginning to think all the Soompiers my age are going to their prom, then I'm the only one that's not/can't.

im having trouble thinking if i should go or not cuuuz..

reasons why i dont:
- no date, BUUT.. my friends insisted to all go together
- the price to go is ridiculous, for one thing.. its like $80 just for a small dinner.

reasons why i do/should:
- my one & only prom i'll ever have, {regrets will come later}

annnd yea, i dunno.. hmm

I'm not going, because I felt that the time I spent three years ago trying to pick a "fresh" and new school turned out to be totally unworthy of my 3 years of high school life. Things have been complicated, and there weren't that many fond memories with anyone special since my boyfriend graduated already when I started HS. Not to mention tickets for us are 65 dollars. I told myself i'd make a better investment if I saved up that money for my Hong Kong trip. Completely not worth it, and that's why I am not going.

At the beginning I did consider because everyone says it was a "once in a life time" thing but that's okay. I don't feel like i'm missing/losing much because I feel that i'd have a much happier time doing something else that Saturday.
