^ She's not asking for gift ideas.
She's asking about birthday plans.
For me, I took my bf out to a higher-end restaurant... nice window seat view of the water.
Then we went to a pub. Haha.

Two years ago, when he turned 18, I threw a surprise party for him, consisting of all his close friends (minus some uninvited guests). He told me beforehand not to do anything, but I knew he expected at least something. Because his birthday landed on our 7th month anniversary, we went out to celebrate while I had my cousin prepare the party at a friend's house. He was sincerely surprised and couldn't have asked for more.
This year, my boyfriend's birthday is also coming up (June 1st), and I've yet come up with an idea on what to do. I was thinking of throwing him another surprise party (he likes surprises, ahaha) and hopefully get his friends who are away at college to come celebrate. The one thing he misses the most is being able to celebrate with his friends and have a good time.

this thread was made exactly when I needed it! my boyfriend's birthday is this saturday, but I want to make him feel special and cheer him up a bit because his grandfather recently passed away so I'm planning to surprise him with a gift during each period of school on friday, but I'm just not sure what the presents should be. all I know is that one of the presents is going to be orange cupcakes
oh well

i decorated my room with streamers of our favorite colors and balloons everywhere on the floor.
i also made a happy birthday banner and made a collage of our pictures to hang on the wall.
i bought him a cake (because i suck at baking)
i also bought sparkling cider and wine glasses.
i set a table in the middle of my room and set it elegantly, with fine china, forks, and the cake right in the middle.
then i woke up super early the next morning and got ready.
i literally waited 3 hours x]
my boyfriend called me when he got to my house and i picked up the phone, pretending i had just woken up.
i told him to come up to my room anyways and made sure the front door was unlocked.
he helped himself inside and when he opened the door to my room i was standing there with his gift in my hands, switched on the lights and yelled "SURPRISE!!!"
he was shocked because he really thought i just woke up lol x]
after that we sat down on the table, ate the cake, and drank the cider :]
yayy :]
