I honestly love the teaser. The guy in the beginning actually sounds fine to me. Anyone knows who is really the guy?
I honestly love his part except his pronunciation of Genie.
But I so so love the girls' part in the teaser.

A top artist's teaser can get 200K on Gomtv. All time record is the Gee teaser with 730K. The Genie teaser looks like it can break that record.
Record for Most Viewed MV on GomTV is Gee MV with 9 million views. Will the new Genie MV break this record too?

One of the centers of Kpop is Bestiz.
Gee teaser has record for most viewed female artist teaser on Bestiz with 53710 views.
Genie teaser is already at 47000 views and will probably exceed Gee teaser record

Bestiz is interesting because it is probably the most influential kpop site in Korea. Reporters, PDs, and kpop artists monitor this site (Sooyoung was once spotted surfing Bestiz)
Genie teaser at Bestiz is now at 72000 views so there goes Gee teaser's record...

We can now see that the only competition SNSD has is SNSD itself

And the responses are overwhelmingly positive on the Bestiz teaser thread. The girls often used to get criticized on Bestiz last year.

These numbers make us happy as Sones. But more important is the fact of how well regarded SNSD has become in the kpop world. They are considered at the top not because they're simply popular pretty girls. Like I said before, their only records and competition is themselves. I'm still eye-ing that top 10 for Melon again for 'Genie' though, if they can go lower than 10 (maybe 9?) on the day of release, this will no doubt be bigger than 'Gee'. 2009 IS undoubtedly our year. This really sucks though because rofl the more records they break and the better they get, they will have to keep on improving to live up to future expectations but in a way I guess it just makes them strong.

BTW can anyone tell me if that 1 year later song is a cover of the song by Brown Eyes cause the title made me think it was since the Brown Eyes song is one of my all time kpop favorites and it is licensed under SM Entertainment

the 1 year later song is most likely not the brown eyes song. (and i doubt snsd would even have a cover song as part of a mini-album?.. that would just be... weird of SM D:)

and the brown eyes song = 벌써 1년 which is also, Already One Year. but SNSD's song has like.. hanja (chinese character thing -- which means 'after' or smth along those lines..) in it.. so, it wouldn't be a cover... i'm hoping. haha.
