So as of right now, my friend doesn't have a date for her prom, and she's been looking for one for a while now i think. She just sent me a message asking if I'd like to be her date to prom, and I'm not sure if I should or not. Prom is probably going to be really expensive, but I really don't want her to be by herself for prom. Should I just go with her or no? I don't like her in any way besides as a friend if you guys were wondering.

If your wallet can handle it then why not. Prom is always a fun time to just be with friends and share the final memories before heading off to the world. If its too expensive then decline

If you can pay for it? I mean, prom is a once in a lifetime experience. If you haven't gone to prom yet, I think you should. You said it yourself, you didn't want her to go by herself.... If you can't or still don't want to, maybe try to hook her up with someone else?

i'm stuck in the same situation as your friend. i think if you could afford it, you should definitely go with her. i know it can be expensive but think about it, prom could be so fun for the both of you. it's one of those once in a lifetime experiences that you can't do again - it'll just never be the same. take her to prom =)

I don't see it as a problem. As long as you two know it's a friendly date, then it's not going to go misunderstood, if that's what you're worried about. If it's expensive and you can't afford to go to prom, then explain it to your friend, I'm sure they'll understand. If that happens, maybe suggest someone else to go with them? I think that's pretty nice. If you can afford to, definitely go for it. It's going to be a lot of fun for you guys.
