honestly, coming from someone that really wants to like 4minute,
i really don't find them alluring, and they don't pull you in too much
i don't know, i really want to like them but they just don't have the "it" factor
truthfully, i think hyunah ruined it a little for 4minute, because...
i think there was a lot of hype about 4minute but when they came out
they were less than awesome? i don't know...
hopefully this is not considered bashing/offending to anyone!
i just want to state my opinion on them.

I really do agree with this. I've watched all their performances in an attempt to like them more. I like their style and their MV. I think there's tons of room for improvements, especially vocally. Hyunah's voice isn't exactly the best (apparently she sings higher than she normally does... compared with Irony days?), her dancing is rather awkward sometimes, and, despite having watched all their performances several times, I still can't identify the leader. Of all the members of 4minute, I really like JiYoon, but sometimes I feel like she's trying a bit hard, but this is probably only in comparison with the other girls. I want to like 4minute, but I don't feel they don't have anything exceptional about them. In the face of upcoming girl groups debuting/making a comeback, they're only mediocre overall. I really hope they step up their game for their next performances and song(s) because I think they can improve a lot more.

@ x3teenuh & baby-swts: No the girls were not on MuBank, because this week's episode was a special episode, featuring the artists who did well for the first half of the year (with some exception though and some special performances *coughs* Tiny AJ, Chung Lim & Taegoon was LOVE *coughs*). As they debuted at the second half of the year, they didn't have the chance to perform on MuBank

@1234 : The girls will appear on tmw's MuCore & Sunday's Inkigayo (Jiyoon & HyunAh will do the mobile ranking !). They will also have Shim Shim Tapa on Sunday (this time, they will be filmed !)

Concerning the posts above, well they're still rookies, they were not supposed to be ZOMG SO AWESOME at their debut but they surely tried their best for their debut, and they just can improve from the point they are currently ~ It's sure that Jihyun leada doesn't stand out much (especially when you have the wild horse HyunAh, the hyper queen Jiyoon and dang-so-killing-aegyo Maknae). She can work on that too. But the choreography doesn't do her justice as she barely stands in the front (only for few seconds), her parts in the song neither. Cube made that decision, it must have sense...

You don't have to force yourself to like 4Minute, but it's nice to have given your opinion.

well considering what I've been seeing while being here since their debut, you might get some backlash. It's hard to express your opinion in here without pushing someones buttons, or worse, like just recently, be reported to a mod for it.

Anyway XD I'm curious to know why they didn't perform? I saw their interview on youtube, but since it's subs I didn't understand any of it >> so waiting for that to be subbed haha

4minute just debuted. Yesterday's Music Bank was the half year special so only performers who had top songs in the first half of 2009 performed. Notice After School, Chae Yeon, and other recently comeback singers were not there either.

Yah, that's the main reason why I keep on coming here and support this group even though I know that they are not good as the other rookies but that is acceptable to me. I still give myself a chance to see the inner talent of this group.
Their fans knows what the capacity of 4minute as of the moment so whatever critism it is acceptable coz that is the truth for now and unlike other thread if you comment or say something negative about the group they immediately bash you even you are saying the truth. And sometimes they are exagerating everything.
If 4minute improved that's better but if not they still have place in the entertainment industry. They are pretty.
