So i'm 19 and i'll be 20 by the time next fall runs around.
I'm thinking of stopping school in the US and starting over in Korea (due to family reasons)
I was supposed to go this past year, but I had to stay in the US for various reasons.
If I go to Korea, i'm going to have to spend about a year in the language program, and since
I was planning on changing majors (and countries lol) I found out only 3 of my classes will transfer.
I'll pretty much have to start over as a freshman.
So my question. Is 21 too old to be a college freshman? Not just in Korea, but in the US because I plan to
eventually come back here. And the major i'm switching to is pretty much a "have to go to grad school or work at mc donalds"
major so is 27-28ish old to be graduating college?
honestly... you're not half as special as you think you are.

well from what I know, there's a lot of older people nowadays that go for degrees. I mean the worst thing is probably hitting on the opposite sex w/ the age difference and all, but other than that, what they gonna do to you, single you out in any statistic course
Feeling lost and confused
And I don't know what to do
Can't seem to say
How much I love you

don't even worry about it!!
my cousin, who was in a language program for 2 years in Japan, just came back to the states and he is in his late-20s...and he is only NOW starting college. yeah, the majority of people in college may be a lot younger...but it doesn't even matter.
my mom also didn't start college until her early forties...so i think it's never too late.

my major is something that i'll need to have at least a master's degree to do anything with...but i plan on taking some time off after graduation to do volunteer work in either the peace corps or teach for america...so really by the time i get done with grad school...i'll be 26-27 as well (and i started college at 18).

Don't even worry about your age. JUST FINISH SCHOOL! A friend of mine has been putting off school for a few years now, and because it's coming on 4 years since we left high school, he's jealous of all the people graduating. I keep telling him it's not about when you finish, as long as it happens. Don't get discouraged because your credits won't transfer; just make sure you decide on a major you really like this time around and stick it out.

There's no such thing as too old to just be starting college. You start when you are ready to start and not any sooner. Otherwise you are wasting time and money if you aren't ready. Hopefully, being a little bit older, you'll be a little bit more focused on what you really want out of college and not have to spend 6 or 7 years in school drifting from major to major because you just don't know.

No because I see a guy that's probably like 60s (with white hair) in this noobie math class. Kinda normal, and since you're 21, theres no problem with that.
all smiles.

I started university last fall and seeing students over 21 in my 100-level courses was a pretty common sight. I'd say you're fine.

all i know is you're age shouldn't stop you from something you're passionate about
There's no use looking back or wondering
How it could be now or might have been

21 is never too late. My great uncle finished school when he was in his 80s or 90s.

NEVER!

There are lots of people who go to college even later in life. In their 20's, 30's, 40's, etc. Sometimes people need some life experience before they realize what they really want to do.

Noo, 21 is not too old. My friend's community college class has ppl ranging from 18-60s.
He doesn't think they are weird or anything, he says they are pretty chill.

It's never to late to go to school. At my school, there's plenty of people in their 30's & 40's (& maybe even older) that are back in school. Actually, my dad is planning to go back to school too

Definitely not! A lot of students at my school are international -- it's not uncommon to have a ton of 20 or 21-year-old classmates.
