Its never too late... due to the current economical downturn a lot of people who were working before are no longer working and some of them are heading back to school... so don't worry about that.

In Korea it definitely won't be a problem, since you're male and most of my college friends here are older because their education was delayed by their military service.

In the US, no one is going to care. Once you hit a certain point it's shared experiences that matter, not a number. =]

2NE1♥

Anyways, not sure about in the US, but no problem in Korea.

Not only is it common for guys to go to military service (so you see a lot of ahjusshi types around the campus) but there are a lot of people who go into univ an year or two late for various reasons(such as having lived overseas and repeating an year due to the school term differences).

Nope. Age doesn`t make a difference in college (;
I know a guy who attended college as a freshman after four years of being in the Marines.

Probably what everybody else mentions, it's not too old. Age doesn't really matter if you put thought into it. A person learn base on experience so do much more than just school alone, build up accomplishments.

Def not! I have plenty of 25++ joining us during freshman years. And yeah, many are international who really love knowledge.

You are never too old, nor is it ever too late, to start school or go back to school. Everyone stresses that education is a must, and while I agree to a certain extent, I don't necessarily think that college right away is always the right path for everyone. College eventually...maybe...but regardless of what people may say or think, taking a break isn't always a bad thing. Sure, it's harder to go back to school once you've taken that break but no one can teach you how to live your entire life. You learn by making your own choices and the rewards and/or consequences that follow.

LIVE YOUR LIFE TO THE FULLEST - whether that may be going to school now or going to school later. You know what they say...better late than never. happy.gif

Not at all, half of the people in my class were already 21+ when they started the study I'm doing. The oldest guy in my class was 26 at that time!

You sound just like me hahaha..
I just started out as a freshman in college because I wasn't too sure if college was for me. I waited 2 years to make up my mind ( I know, I know) and suddenly started missing school again. I guess I wouldn't know unless I tried right? So, I'm almost 21 by next year and just started college. I don't think its "too old" or a "disadvantage" at all. I know some people who are in their mid-30's and who are still attending college haha. Simply put that thought is false.

No, 21 isn't old. Age doesn't matter. It doesn't matter either whether you took 10 years to complete school because your degree won't say "TOOK 10 YEARS TO COMPLETE".

Absolutely not. Life happens and sometimes I wish I could have started later. Seen the world or done something else. school is BS but it's necessary if you want to succeed. But it's great that you are starting
