never ever ever send an item first unless you personally know the buyer.
ebay is filled with people trying to scam you. especially if they contact you by email outside of ebays in-site contact system.
ive had people with weird contact info/locations try to scam me before. if they were to buy it they'd bid on it, not contact you. if ever someone offers you too much for an item you think is worth alot less, just use your common sense for better judgment =P

I read about something like this. Most scams and stuff come from Nigeria and seriously if the guy wanted it SO BAD he would've bidded or done the buy it now option instead of emailing you. Don't give in... Even if your iPod if broken XD His name was REALLY suspicious too. Most people who are fakes and scammers seem to have a weird name likE: OfficialSomething, OnlyTheeBest, TrusttMee
Stupid names like that. How's his feedback?

What happened? Did you send it?
It sounds like a scam for sure, esp. from Nigeria.

It's a scam for sure if it's any part of Africa. ESPECIALLY, Nigeria & Cameroon.
