honestly as much as i love glee

they really need to replace cory.. vocally he is no match for lea.. and when ever they are lead vocals or singing duets.. ex. no air..
lea completely drowns him out with her vocal ability.. it's like cory who? where?

but anyway, i know cory/finn character is exactly as how he is in real life apparently.. someone with no previous vocal training discovering his voice..

but lea needs a better lead like say kevin!
basically someone that can hold his own against her

i think they probably cast cory because he is one of the rare guys who can somewhat sing, dance, and look like a jock. that combination isn't easy to come by, just look at how big zac efron became! but yea it's a shame that they couldn't find someone to match lea vocally bc she's AMAZING!

i think my fav character has to be jane lynch's character. the things that come out of her mouth are just ridiculous and hilarious!

and i can't wait for the soundtrack!!! and the mash-ups from the last episode were awesome!

I agree wholeheartedly. Although I like Cory(he's cute), his voice just isn't as strong as the other guys'. Lea's voice matches well with Kevin <3 Although I'd LOVE to see a Lea/Mark duet <3 That would be hot.

it must just be me, but I cannot stand Rachel. She has an awesome voice and all but I can't stand how it's all me me me me! The way Emma stares at Will is freaky too. I like the show, just some of the characters annoy the hell out of me.

I'm so addicated to Glee!! But I think Lea's voice is so...... classic? She's a great singer and all...but when she does other styles of music...she sings in a classic style...

The teacher is a cutie tho! I hope he ends up with the guidance counsellor!

^her training is in broadway. also, that's probably the way they want her to sound.

i think cory's fine. i hate it when people replace actors (daisy on dead like me... ugh), and hate it even more when they replace lead characters because of the actors (nate on gossip girl). cory has a raw quality to his voice that's supposed to be there. i can buy it. when puck started singing in "sex you up" it was hard to believe that he had no training or that he had no interest in it before. i'm sure cory will steadily improve like his character's supposed to. kevin is a good singer but he doesn't look like a leading man, sorry. and mark is good, too, but probably not much difference from cory and i kinda like his character where he is for now. not to mention, jonathan groff couldn't keep up with lea either (his voice has that raw quality in it, as well) but look how successful that pairing was.

really, the only one that can keep up with her vocally is maybe matthew morrison.

glee is my current obession, i am so bummed out at the moment coz i completely missed ep 2 and 4. so if anyone knows where i can find full episodes please let me know.

i think Lea's a wonderful singer and actress, i just love the way she looks at Cory when they sing, though i do find it annoying sometimes when Rachel's voice totally drowns Finn's in their duets, i still think they are a compatible pair.

Thank you thank youuuu for the links to "No Air" and "Keep Holding On"!! They both made my day. "Keep Holding On" is one of my absolute favorite songs ever - and I think they did a great job covering it. As for "No Air"... I liked it a lot better than the original.

But honestly, if you can, do Hulu - you don't have to download anything (you have to download the Fox player to watch Fox on Demand).

I don't really think they need to replace him, because his character does serve a purpose, I'm personally tired of the barrage of Rachel/Finn songs as well as the focus on their storyline. At least Rachel is a really good singer, but Finn on the other hand... I know that he's supposed to be 'untrained,' but in the pilot she specifically said she needed somebody that matched her vocally, and Finn comes the farthest from doing that. Sometimes I literally cringe hearing his voice, especially 'No Air.' Plus, the other characters are becoming background stereotypes - the Asians nobody really remembers, the flamboyant gay, etc.

Is it true that Cory Monteith, who plays Finn, is dating Lea Michele, who plays Rachel, in real life? I was watching a video of their interview in Australia and someone posted that as a comment. Then I also saw pictures of just the two of them coming out of a theater after watching a Broadway musical.

Also, I saw a video of Cory over at TMZ. He was just hilarious because a girl at the airport didn't recognize him and he said that he was Chris Pine. He actually said, "You just got a picture with Chris Pine."
