I saw the pilot episode after having it on my computer for weeks. I didn't know what to expect of the show, but the commercials that FOX played got me interested. I really like the show. It really passed my expectations for it and sorta caught me off guard. I'm totally excited for September to come by so I can continue watching Glee XD

ah, so that's what glee reminded me of... no wonder i didn't like the pilot.

Part of the reason why Glee is so fun because it takes those things that it knows are cliché and adds that touch of dark humor to it. It's smarter than High School Musical, I feel. It's very much a feel-good show in that it's where you're rooting for the outcasts, the underdogs but there's that snarkiness to it as well. Ryan Murphy, after all, is also the creator of Nip/Tuck.

I, for one, am a HUGE fan of the show already and I'm obsessed. It's bad...And if you guys have just seen the aired version, when you watch the Director's Cut, you'll love it all the more. The Director's Cut is actually waaaaay better than the aired version.

Obviously "Don't Stop Believin'" isn't quite the same as the original, but it's epic in its own way. Lea Michele has an AMAZING voice. And I love how all of the minor characters are still hilarious and so vivid. (I thought I was one of the few who love love love Kevin McHale, but I guess not, judging by this thread!)

For those of you who are interested in meeting the Glee cast, they're doing a Hot Topic mall tour - more info here. I'm mad upset because they're coming to Boston, but they're doing it before I get back...rawr.

omg i love glee~~~~the singing, the dancing and the characters are all so awesome. it's like high school musical but...more realistic. oh Finn is mighty hot too.

i understand that this show is in almost every way better than HSM, but that still doesn't compel me to like it.
it's like i've seen these characters before and why should i waste my time watching it again.

this show has potential, but it's just not my kind of show.

well anyway
my cousins & i went to the gleek tour in boston yesterday & it was beyond amazing
^^we didnt get in by getting shirts. i won tickets from the radio
which got us to the beginning of the line :]
it was such a last minute thing.
the cast is so sweet. i got amazing hugs from kevin, cory, and mark
it was even mark's birthday! he joked that he was 37 but he's only 26...well thats what i heard lol

I wish I saw them when they came to Natick, but no one would go with me (one of my friends kept saying that Glee was stupid mini cooper that no one cares about). UGH TO HER! She doesn't know what she's missing.

I saw all the student cast up close in the meet and greet yesterday. I got in by buying the shirt. Lea Michele is gorgeous in person she had a new hairstyle and red lipstick on and looked stunning so nice too. Out of all the cast she responded the most to me.

I couldnt think of anything to say to them when i had to greet them my brain stopped working (a mixture of waiting outside in the hot sun and just being nervous) and I just kept saying to each and everyone of them. COry didnt sya much he was just moving to the beat of the music that was playing in the store hes bigger in size in person he looked so much smaller on tv.

After all the signing which to look literally 10 seconds I had to leave. I wish I got to hang around with them more but I its over and done with. Im looking forward to Glee.

I watched the pilot cuz I was bored, and it was actually really good. I'm not into HSM...but this show is very promising. It has that odd humour to it and sure it's cliche...but cliches are something we haven't seen in awhile, and there's a little bit more to the cliches. I think the script is very clever, and just makes the cliches more exaggerated, and it's refreshing. Looking forward to the first episode.

They had this fan meeting up in LA. They were really nice : )
We met them a day before Lea Michelle's birthday.

I missed the screening though, sucks. ANYWAY, I can't wait for the showing on TV.
