Okay so, for the past 3 months, I've joined the badminton team and started training for tournaments. During that time after practice, I'd still eat and eat and eat so that I wouldn't lose any weight at all. Even without losing any weight, people sed that I look skinnier but I still weigh the same o.o It's been a month since the badminton tournament and people still say I've gotten skinnier without any physical exercise. I'm just wondering how this is possible when I still eat the same and don't purposely try to lose weight.

You could have lost fat but gained muscle. Since muscle is leaner than fat, the muscle gain probably makes you look skinnier.

Because u got big bones. You can still look skinny, and weigh heavy, if u have heavy bones.

it could be that you lost fat and gained muscle.

muscle can take up less space than fat, but weigh more causing you to look thinner but weigh the same (or sometimes more!!)

you got toned

Instead of skinny fat, where even if you're like super skinny you still have jiggly stuff.

You turned that jiggly stuff into muscle which is compact and firm.

Yay for you wink.gif

yeah like everyone said above, ur fat probably turned into muscles.
i've recently got the same comments, ive been working out every day and my weight remains pretty much the same, may be 2-3 pounds less,
people noticed and said i look skinnier, in reality, i just toned up alot, which makes me look a bit skinnier.

Body shape can change without necessarily losing weight.
Browse through some japanese mags! They have heaps of examples of girls losing like 1/2kgs but looking like they lost a whole lot more.
as a result of doing different exercises probably

Your weight count may be the same but the only true difference is your measurements

the same thing happened to me. i went jogging a lot but still weighed the same, but people around me said i looked thinner. my mom said i became a little more tone and am developing a shape. before, i was apparently just...there. no shape, just chub.

Yeah, like everyone is saying.... gaining muscle and losing fat, you might come up as the same on the scale, but I'm sure your body fat percentage is down smile.gif

well, where are they saying is skinny?
i have a co-worker who is only in my office for 2 months, then gone 2 months.
during that time my hair grows out and it makes my face look thin.

if you haven't cut your hair in a while, it could be that.

and just like everyone else said, it might be that you're gaining muscle and that's giving you a slightly different look.

1. Muscle weighs more than fat / You got yourself pretty toned up. =) (Which isn't a bad thing btw.)
2. You probably grew taller

I still weigh the same since last year and when I saw my badminton coach, she said I lost weight. It's probably because my face slimmed down a bit so I made me look a lot skinnier than I really am.

You probably either slimmed on certain areas of your body, but not enough to lose weight.

You couldve gained muscle mass (and lost fat)
so you would be the same weight, but would appear skinnier
