X-18's are oaky... they're the newest clubs from Callaway... I just bought a new set of clubs Mizuno Mp-33's because I felt that my Taylormade super iron's were a bit old... The new Ping G3's came out too!.. I'm curious, what driver do ya'll use? I'm currently using a Titleist 983k, and i guess it's okay..... haha ^^ yeah and people usually think it's really easy to hit the ball.. Especially in putting, people think it's a piece of cake..

i have a great big bertha (circa 1995 lol) i think its like 220cc
so small compared to all the 460s nowadays
nike's got a new driver out - sasquatch

anyhow i will be switching drivers in a few months.. probably to a Ping G2 or the new Launcher 460 Titanium.. both of them are easy hit drivers, as you can see they're both 460 CC's and it has a wider 'sweet spot'... I can currently drive about 280-285 yds of average with my 983k.
.. Ping has a new driver out too G5.. but i heard the G2 is much better than the G5.. I have to try it out tho =/

aF 1 what irons are you hitting with?

i play with a callaway big bertha titanium 454 (10 degrees)

and i play with taylormade racs OS (men's reg. graphite).

my handicap factor currently stands at 6.9 and i'm from canada....?! i know it's too cold to play in the winter..so it's a seasonal sport for me. i played in most junior tournies in the last 2 yrs. and now i'm an amateur. i also play on the University of Toronto Golf Team.
oh, and to answer your question babyboy, the LPGA tourney in Korean won't be on the golf channel. i checked local listings as well, but I'm afraid this tourney is not featured on any of the major networks. (nbc, cbs, abc, golf channel.) so, just follow up on the lpga website at lpga.com.

thats pretty impressive
how long have you been playing?
babyboy: i play with an old set of handmedowns (i think they are called xpc? haha)
im not very good so i dont need a great set of clubs yet
those mp-33s look real nice
but why not mp-60? (ive been seeing ads for them everywhere)
whats your handicap btw?
anyway, ive been reading this book called "the plane truth" by Jim Hardy
he discusses the differences between one-plane swing (ben hogan, vijay, michelle wie, ernie) and two-plane swing (tiger woods in 2000, davis love and almost everyone else)
really interesting so far!
heres description
Plane Truth For Golfers Book by Jim Hardy
Hardy's revolutionary approach is simple: There are two sets of fundamentals to the swing, not one. There is the one-plane swing, for more athletic players, and the two-plane swing, suitable for players of all abilities. Understanding these concepts is crucial to your improvement, and Hardy breaks them down into easy-to-follow steps, complete with dozens of photographs. Voted one of "America's 50 Greatest Teachers" by Golf Digest and ranked in the "Top 100 Teachers" list of Golf magazine, Jim Hardy is a veritable scholar of swing. He's been fixing the swings of professional and amateur golfers since 1977, and in The Plane Truth for Golfers, he makes his groundbreaking concepts available to you for the first time. Jim Hardy is the most knowledgeable teacher in golf. This extraordinary book will be the most revolutionary instructional book since Ben Hogan's Five Lessons. ~Peter Jacobsen, Seven-time PGA Tour event winner

af_1: Mp-60's are nice, but wow do you know how expensive they are? I believe they're the newest clubs of Mizunos. The newest models aren't always the best. I've tried out the mp-33's before I bought them and wow I gained a few yards, it's really forgiving. I don't practice a lot, my handicap is around 11ish. If you read a lot of golf books, I really recommend Ben Hogan's Five Lessons, it's a really old book with very well drawn illustrations to help you. And yeah, you're smart, in the beginning you can just play with a not-so-good set of irons, but until you become better you should try out different sets and find out which set suites you the best.
I'm almost finished building my clubs, just missing two wedges and my third wood and pow i'm done! So I will post a picture of my whole bag after.

Coreana, you practice a lot huh? Considering your handicap is 6.9, I'm sure you've played quite a numerous amount of years already.

i feel like i just wrote a "biography" on my golf life. i just want golfers and non golfers to know that golf is a very passionate sport. you cry a lot...not just the athlete, but others around. you sacrifice a lot too. but there's a lesson taught throughout the game. i'm not saying it here. that's for u to find out.
Lee leads Korean domination of CJ Nine Bridges

Such was the domination by local Jee Young Lee at the LPGA co-sanctioned CJ Nine Bridges Classic on Jeju Island off the south coast of Korea, she was able to drop three shots in her last four holes today and still win by three.
It was a remarkable week for the local, who was playing in her first LPGA event and for whom the victory would mean so much. That she was able to play as well as she did today while playing alongside two of her country's more decorated and credentialed players and on such an important stage, indicates that a step up to LPGA Tour status in 2006 will now be a lot easier for her.
Lee had dropped five shots in the last five holes on Saturday also but on a tough demanding golf course and in conditions which made scoring difficult she led by three as she headed into today's final round.
She had opened up a huge lead with just a few holes to go but understandably nerves and perhaps lack of experience got the better of her in the run to the line. Still if she was struggling so were many other more experienced and established players and tonight she is a young lady (20) with a huge future on the LPGA Tour.
She has played the Korean Ladies Tour this year and in fact won the Korean Women's Open. She is therefore no stranger to winning but this was another level again and with so much more at stake.
11 year LPGA veteran Carin Koch continued her great season with a runner up placing, which she shared with Mi Hyun Kim. Koch won earlier in the year at the Corona Morelia Championship for just her second victory on the LPGA Tour.
Hee Young Park and Jeong Jang completed a good week for the locals, who filled eight of the top thirteen placings.
The surprises of the tournament were that Annika Sorenstam never really got into contention and eventually finished 14th and that Paul Creamer let a great opportunity go with a last round of 79.
The best of the Australians was Rachel Hetherington, who was 6th with Wendy Doolan 23rd, Lindsey Wright 51st and Katherine Hull 60th.
The LPGA Tour now heads to Japan for the Mizuno Open.
