Hello, I was wondering if anyone had recommendations for AP books that really helped. I've been really lazy this year and haven't been doing the reading very thoroughly so I am in desperate need of some AP books that will help me! What I mean by "which" is the company; Princeton, Barron's, etc.

These are the subjects I need them for:
- Biology
- US History

And I'm doing ok in Calc BC but I guess having a good AP book wouldn't hurt.

Thank you!

i remember i used barron for european history and it was really good but actually harder than the ap test.

i used barron and princeton review for u.s. history- princeton's good with the review part but not so great with practice tests.

get a barron for calc bc- that's what i'm getting xp

I used Barron's for all AP classes that I took. I'd recommend them for US History, World History & Government, but not Micro or Macro Economics. The practice tests in there are WAY too easy compared to the actual test.

REA definitely for history...
BC, I think I got Princeton Review, and it was all right.
Bio, I didn't take, so I can't help you there.

If I were you, I would check out Amazon.com reviews

I hated REA for my European History review (at least the version I had, it might've improved since then).

For any AP test, I would reccommend Princeton Review. They're pretty understandable and fairly thorough, although you may not get all the exact, tiny details that could push you up. I suggest that you don't rely on review books to get you through the class or a 5 on the test, since they are _review_ books.

btw, don't get review books for english tests. They're useless.

I highly recommend CliffsNotes for AP Biology. I use it myself and it has touched upon every subject we had gone over so far in my class.

Biology - Barrons and Princeton Review were pretty good..

DON'T get REA for AP Bio - it's alright for other courses, like AP US History and AP Euro, but lacks the detail and depth for Bio.

US History - like I said, REA worked for me.. I also heard good things about Kaplan's/Petersons/Princeton Review.
