Hi Range!
I wasn't able to buy the notebook last time... i didn't have much money and i wanted something more.. So, now, i'm back... now ready to buy. And as everyone's problem would be, i dunno what to choose among these ones.
Additional Info: I'm currently in South Korea, and they talk and breath Samsung, but i shall not be swayed. The laptops here are more expensive compared to if i will buy online, but the shipping costs and taxes would compensate for it.. so might as well buy here... Right? (or you disagree?)
Okay... so i was really aiming for a Dell... but after hearing about the battery problems...(i'm not so well informed.... does it mean that if i buy it now, it means that the stuff i will buy will be new and won't explode?), I had to try to choose again...
*I only included those stuff for specs cos they're what i care most about... and i don't know much about the Rams and other stuff... x.x
So... i would be needing this notebook only for watching videos, downloading, occasional school work (i joke) and pretty much surfing on the net and usual stuff....
Please help me, i'm having a lot of pressures thinking about this...
Hmm I'm not too sure of the currency rate right now, but I generally reccomend you get it in the US since your support will be from the US and all those models listed above sold in the US. Samsung is a great brand, but its a premium brand (i.e expensive, but high quality). I emphasize expensive.
Super drive probably means DVD burner. the other drive is DVD read (but no write/burn) and cd burn.
As far as your use goes, its quite simple and all of them can meet your needs. I think you need to consider how often you will carry it around as a 13.3 will be easier to carry.. while a 15.4" screen will be nicer to look at if your not as mobile. There's a significant weight difference between the two. we're looking at 4lbs to 6-7lbs. go to a store and play around with it, see which screen you feel most comfortable with.
As for the battery issues, it shouldn't be much of an issue (which is hard for me to say because I like sticking it to Dell an Sony fans) because well.. Sony makes the batteries for a majority of the laptops out there. The only difference is, Dell and Apple are doing recalls while the others have yet to take action (whether they are reluctant to, or don't need to is a different story).

lol what!? u get paid for doing reviews? iv'e never heard of such things lol but i don't know how i can do a review

i'm so bad at explaining technological stuff haha they'll probably laugh in my face pfft so with my laptop can i still play games ? or is it just not powerful enough?
Yep you do! us mdoerators (i'm a mod there too) get paid more though

anyways, if you choose to do one, I can tell you how to write a professional one. just PM me and I'll tell you what programs you'll need to run the benchmarks.
As for your 62j.. yes, it has a dedicated Nvidia Go 7300, which is the lowest dedicated GPU in Nvidia's 2006 line up (the reason why the 62J isnt popular and why many others went for other 14" models). However, since its weaker, you'll most likely have better battery life, and the 7300 isn't that bad! infact it should run most of the games that are out, pretty decently (some heavy graphics cames like Oblivion will probably require some graphics adjustments i.e playing in 800x600 mode, AA off, lower textures, etc).
