i used it for 4+ years and it works for mild acne, meaning you get maybe max 4 pimples at any one time. Once the pimple shows up, proactiv doesnt really do anything. For me, it was more of a preventative measure. Proactiv DOES NOT work for severe acne, meaning cystic ones, which i got when I started grad school. But i do recommend proactiv since it keeps acne at bay (preventative)

I heard a lot of reviews saying that it'll come back once you stop.
So technically you won't ever stop using it cause you'll have to keep using it for it to go away. huh.gif Get my drift?

Personally, ProActive didn't work for me. I've used it for about a year and didn't see a difference. After the first couple of months, my sister told me to keep using it because she said my skin would have to get used to it. And I did, but no improvement. I had mild acne. I have a different regime now, which works well for me.

On my older sister, ProActive worked really well for her. Her skin perfectly cleared up, with the occasional stress pimples.

So it'd really depend on your skin. Hope it works out for you! (:

*Edit
Oya, I forgot to say, the pimples DO come back once you stop using it. Every once in a while, I'd forget to use the products and wake up with some ugly pimples. ): SO DON'T SKIP!

Basically, Proactive is a drug.

It does work when you use it, but after you stop, your acne comes back,
so, you have to keep using it.

My doctor told me that Proactive is weaker and a lot more expensive, so that's how they do business.
(sorry if that doesn't make sense)

i used it for like 2 years, did no good for me, and once i stopped using it, my acne just got worse D:
personally, i wouln't recommend it, and as people have said, even if it does work for you, once you stop it will just come back.
so it's like taking drugs for your face, lol. that's a waste of your money D:

as for me, i'd just stick to washing my face with water and drink water + eat a lot of fruits

but hey, go for it if you want to experience and see if it works on you.

Proactive didn't work for me at all. It just made my skin dry and flaky.
I don't think Proactive is worth the money and time.
My brother bought it for me too. =[.
I'm going to try the skinID thing next.

It didn't work for me at all and since I have dry skin, the steps were so painful that it felt like my skin was on fire ):
I really hated putting that alcohol thing on.
It was such a waste of money.

proactiv works
but once u stop using it,, it all comes back, probably more
and its pretty expensive,,
just use hot and cold water to use ur face.
natural minerals r always good for ur face, because of it's pH
soo.. use hot water to open ur pores,, and then cold water to close ur pores back
it works alot! alot of my friends only use water to wash their face, and their faces r completely clear! biggrin.gif!
