Recently, I have noticed that my internet tends to pause a bit occasionally..For example, most of the times I would be able to go onto Soompi as soon as I click it, but sometimes, it would just be a white page and the status bar showing that it is loading when it is really not.. This doesn't just happen when I go onto Soompi, it happens also when i go on other websites that usually load pretty quickly.. My speeds are fine and I have tried the rebooting the modem and router method as well as disabling/enabling my local connection..I have also checked for viruses and malwares and zero came up..What is the cause of this?

Are you on wireless that kinda thing often happens on wireless

nope, I'm directly connected to a netgear wireless router though...

You sure it's not just the website? Clear your cookies and see what happens.

I experience a pause in connection sometimes, I'm going to call Linksys and see if they can help me out. I've tried about everything.

I did that too, clearing my cookies and cache....I am so puzzled by this .I don't think it's the RR's problem because they just fixed my internet line after three months and it was working great....My computer is not that old either...but is it possible that my Ethernet card, or whatever you call it, is malfunctioning?

Hey hey Road Runner? That's what I'm using as well, could it their problem. I doubt it's your ethernet card, I never had this problem using DSL. I noticed it the moment I switched to RR.

This didn't happen before....They just fixed my line too..Before my speed was slower than dialup during night times, but now it's like 20MBps when there are no pauses...It's just the annoying pauses that's unusual...Right after they fixed it, I didn't have those pauses...but starting this past weekend, I have noticed the pauses..

uninstall & reinstall firefox ... try updating your flash player too

haha...Can't believe I didn't think of it sooner...I completely forgot that I had changed some settings in firefox during the weekend cause I was trying to optimize firefox..but I guess it failed and did the opposite...But yeah, I managed to reset my firefox and now no more pauses! Thanks! =D
