here's the case..
I may be one of those girls who speak with so called fake voice..
but...
In my head, it's more like "friendly" mode and "bad mood" mode..
so I don't mean to with high squeaky voice to everybody..
it's kinda my friendly tone..so when I'm just chit-chatting with my friends, this tone just come out automatically (unconciously!)..
In fact, I don't realize this until one of my friends pinpointed it to me
A friend: "Which one is your real voice?"
Me : "Huh? voice? what? my voice?"
A friend: "Yes, do you realize that you actually have 2 types of voice?"
Me : "??"
A friend " I can tell whether you're in a good or bad mood just by listening to your voice. When you're happy your voice turns screechy squeaky and lively, but when you're not having fun(angry..stressed...bored..etc) your voice just go down 2 octaves and turns flat"
I was like "REALLY???!!! I DO THAT??"..
one fun fact about my voice...I can't scream..lol..seriously (except with my fake nasal voice), I can't scream on the top of my lungs...so when other people screams out loud when they're scared, I just scream inside my heart..TT TT..
my scream always seems so awkward and weak..(And seems "off-tune" to me rofl)..

so you guys, don't hate people that talk with their nasal voice, ok^^?..sometimes, it just happens ..
I don't intend to speak with fake voice in the first place...but it just happens lol..
and it's way too hard to change =)

Mmmmm I haven't seen anybody with a drastic change in sound between their friends/guy - usually the 'cute' voices are consistent when they talk to me and guys so hahhaha Though my friend does start talking cuter when she talks to her boyfriend, but I think that's understandable.

I guess the only time when I revert to a cute voice is when I speak in Korean because my skills suck D: I don't know why it happens though >< And I pick up other people's speaking habits! It's so frustrating at times

I guess I'm lucky, I don't know a lot of girls who do that cute voice around guys or at least if they do I don't notice. Anyway, yeah it can get pretty annoying.

there. is. this. freaking. freshman. in my school and she has the squeakiest voice EVER. And to make matters worse she goes HIGHER than her rat voice when she see a guy. 1st period ends *AHHHH!!! TOMMM! *hugs* omfgg, i hear her in the morning and she literally make my ears pop -.- then second period, sees the same guy, does the same thing. God, chill, hype as heck.

like her normal voice is squeaky but it's not piercing, her "cute voice" can cause serious ear damage.
i try to keep away from her for the sake of my ears :]

i think i do that sometimes but not purposely.
i usually notice it when i'm really tired so my voice is quiet and high pitched for some reason.

About your friend though... just ask her if she hates girls with "cute" voices, and if she says yes, say 'Well, your voice is like that too'. That`s the only thing I know.

And yeah I get annoyed by fake cute voices too. It's even worse when they have a fake cute laugh that everyone cringes at >_< happened at summer school one time. She could tell that people hated it so she changed it.......to an even worse fake, manly laugh. *shudders*

just casually tell your friend that her voice changed and give her little indications that it's weird
she'll think about it and she may stop

my friend's sister has a really high voice which sounds really unreal
but it's her actual voice lol

What you do is tell her the truth. You're not overreacting. Tell her to do it privately, but if you're a good friend. You can just zip your mouth and take it, since you're always there for your friend.

Lol ok if only it were that easy. My friend sounds like that girl from South Park with the braces on, and she fakes her voice to sound more high pitched and 'cute'. Its weird because it takes her like an hour to say 3 words because she has to say it in a cute voice.

I use a higher pitched voice when talking to customers. I don't know why. Usually with strangers, but my voice fluctuates a lot.
