Maybe the only thing I want is just to write and speak in Japanese, play some games that are in Japanese.
Watch shows that are in Japanese without subtitles.
But i'm not sure if it would benefit me, like help me in life. ><
So what are your opinions?

But knowing a language is REALLY, a nice experience. Take it when you can.
Not only will you learn how to speak, write, learn a new language, it'll let you expand and see cultures and customs which you may have not known before.
And you can start to understand why certain people act that way...it's pretty fascinating.
Language isn't just words...

That's deep .____.

If you are talking business wise, learn Chinese.
know why? because there are a lot of people who speak this languages.
the more, the merrier... are you pockets gonna be in the future.
advice #1
choose what you really wanna learn. nothing beats this advice.
advice #2
choose a language that's close to your native language or the languages you're fluent with, so you'd find it easy to learn.
you know, once you don't understand, once you find it hard... it's all gonna end up to waste.

Japanese was my first second language, I fell in love with it. I didn't plan to do anything with it, I just wanted to learn it. Now, I'm 5 years along, considering taking it at University and working in Japan, maybe as an English teacher/Game Designer. :) At first, it may not seem like it'll benefit for you, but the benefits of having another language under your belt are amazing!
But, you have to enjoy the language, I would say. If you find the language horrible and hate it, you're not going to get far. If you like the language then you will. But you have a common goal to work towards to, so I'm guessing it would benefit you. (It is handy knowing Japanese and having like a Japanese PS2 for imports<3, haha.)
I've made a lot of good friends learning Japanese, and it made me want to learn more languages. ^_^ Right now, alongside Japanese, I'm tackling Chinese and Korean... Korean is gonna be easy for me because the grammar is said to be similar to Japanese, another benefit. Haha. (:
As I say though, I'm a budding linguist so this may be biased, but it is good, fo srs.

waste of timee...i learned so much in three years..especially about the culture.
i think that if you have the passion to learn it, then you should pursue it! ^^

I had to take Spanish for four years, one year in junior high and three in high school.
Even though I got all the way to AP level, my proficiency sucks. I had no passion for it and never studied outside of school.
So yeah.
If you really want to learn Japanese, then you should!

this will reduce the "what if's" later on. and learning a second language is hella worth it.
some jobs require a second language. and being bilingual can earn you more dough

I started learning Japanese for the same reasons that you want to learn. Now I can probably go to Japan and survive even though I've only learned two years worth. (Still a long way from understanding the language used in drama and games though)
If you are very dedicated then you will learn more in a shorter period of time of course ^^
