23-year-old singer-songwriter , Fukui Mai started her career with the single, Ai no Uta,
which was used as the theme song to the drama, Koizora.
At the age of 16 she studied aboard in the Ohio Region for 10 full months
and at the age of 18 she composed lyrics and music for the Indies Band �POPLA�
where she was the vocalist. She had her first lives in the U.S.A. and Taiwan and released
two pieces of albums, she also held independently a solo broadcasting live in
Club Asia of Shibuya (Tokyo) on November 2007. She has been a DORAMA Producer too.

An artist who sent out her demo tape to avex in last Fall and impressed avex so much that they signed her to their J-more label. Just a few months later, the TBS post-production team were impressed by a song offered to them for their upcoming drama �Koizora� and sure enough, Fukui Mai, a new artist has her first song with a drama tie-in.
She's one of the most promising new artists of 2008.

She was one of the best newcomers last year and I love her since I first heard 'Ai no Uta". But not only 'Ai no Uta' is good, most of her songs sound awesome <3

And her 4th single will be released in October! It's called "Oshani Hana". It said to be similar to 'Ai no Uta', with a catchy melody and meaningful/beautiful lyrics. Can't wait to hear it. And seems like, the B-side track is the same that was released as a digital single 2 months ago. =)

Her new single was supposed to be released on October 21th but on CDJapan it says "Release Cancelled". Just saw it a few days ago. :/

I have no idea why it's cancelled though, but I hope it has nothing to do with her health or something, and that's why Avex decided to cancel it because she can't promote the new song now. Humm.
