I have a lot of space in my new case.

Not a 7800GTX, but it runs Doom 3 on Ultra and makes me happy.

<3 AMD Stock CPU Fan

Complete

What I plan on doing.

CPU temp - 35C
Mobo temp - 32C
GPU temp - 42C with an ambient temperature of 32C

Is that normal? For the GPU to be that hot? Literally no OCing?

sounds like a good system... i like how they've cooled the northbridge too because on mine the northbridge fan kinda exhausts onto the video card if i have it in the top slot

i wouldn't worry about it TOO much...

my GPU ran even higher for a while but I tried everything and it wouldn't cool....so I just kinda left it alone. It worked fine and I had no problems. Out of the blue one day I decided to check the temp again and it went down to 28C. I don't know how it happened but now I feel comfortable and it still works as well as it ever did.

Flaw? It's pretty much all the same ram. They all go through the manufacturing process. I don't see how it's a "Flaw" at all.

Isn't it kind of loud? >__>
just get a Zalman CNPS-9500 or one of the 7700s and a VF-700 GPU HSF. biggrin.gif and then mod the CPU stock fan to a Nexus or something

very nice speakers. I have the X-530s too smile.gif but I only can use two of them right now >__> until I buy an external sound card for my laptop.

We all wear masks. Everyone, everyday... sometimes we wear them so much, we forget who we really are. And sometimes if we're lucky, someone comes along and shows us who we really want to be, who we should be.

Tumblrrr.

42C load temp. for the GPU is not high at all. I used to have an unlocked 6800 and it went up to 60 or 65 - and that was pretty much normal from what I've noticed.

Whew, that's a relief. Thanks.

Yeah, a lil. Took me months to save up all the money, and I still owe my dad 350 dollars. The one thing I really like about building my own rig was knowing every single part I put in there.

Case - 80
Mobo - 163
PSU - 45
GPU - 140 (With rebates)
CPU - 233 (Damn thing dropped 11 dollars JALKDSJFA;LKDSFJ I COULD'VE BOUGHT MORE FANS)
Fans - 10 (I got 10 of them for 10 dollars)
DVD Drive - 40 (Bought it some time ago)
HDD - Gift from a friend.
Speakers - 57

Grand total of like 800 bucks. It was like 850 with EVERYTHING altogether. I'm 16 with no job so it was stressfull. =\ Girlfriends practically mean NO computer parts.

I'm not having a problem with the sound issue but my rig is HELLA loud. Glad i have such powerful speakers. But yeah it's good with cooling. I have cool and quiet technology on anyway. It's at 36 right now, which is the highest i've seen it at.

I agree.. you should have gone with 1 good 7800.

If you do plan on goin sli with those 6800s. Make sure you gett a better psu.

also. Could i please get a shot of the front of the case? I love the Chiftec designs. I myself have the orginal Chiftec server tower with 7 cd rom bays.

I couldn't afford a 7800, I still cannot afford one. An SLI'd 6800 Vanilla OC'd a bit would get me a little past a 6800 Ultra's specs, and that should suite me fine. I can play everything I want on medium/high with this card, so i'm not kicking myself in the ass yet. For 140 bucks I think I walked away okay. I wasn't prepared to spend 300 dollars.
