random question (: do your honey's parents like you? do you guys get along?

my bf's mom loves me! we go grocery shopping together and text each other if we want opinions on a new dress or something haha. BUT my bf's dad is a whooole other story. i don't think he approves of me.. he always seems to try and avoid me whenever possible and tries not to talk to me. does this happen to anyone else?

His mom literally hates me.. & his dad on the other hand is neutral, don't think he dislikes me or likes me.
Unfortunately in that household his mom is the ruler.. lol ><

For my ex
Naaah they both love me and invited me to go eat with them every time.
My ex told me when he was with his previous GF, his mom totally hates her at first site.
The GF cheated on him, and I guess sometimes parents have this 6th sense.
They know who is good and who isn't.

My current one doesn't live with his parents but his relative thinks I'm okay and are nice to me, but I don't talk to them much.

For my ex, his parents said that I was cute and they likes me an all. But guess what?? They was just fake! omg they was so fake that it's made me sick.. Lol so I guess they didn't approve me then.

Just because they was catholic while I'm buddhist, they was looking down on me and my mum and dad. I feel so sorry for my mum and dad, they went through a lot of things with that witch (mother of my ex) because of me..=/ There was even once when mum and dad begged them behind my back, asking that witch to let me see my ex once again to talk, but no, they was just evil.

She questioned my BF's religion background. When I told her he isn't really catholic she didn't sound interested anymore.
It doesn't matter anyways because it's not going to stop me from dating him or maybe marry him.

Yes, they was HARCORE catholic..xD That's why they looked down on me and my family for being buddhist, well nevermind, it's over though, and I'm happy for that.

Cause that woman is ehm a witch, that's the only right word to describe her, and that name was given by my mum which I found is super funny, lol cause my mum dont usually go around and call others mother for witch..xD

actually, i don't know if his parents like me or not.
i've only met his dad since his parents are separated
and i rarely talk to him, the most i've said is "hi" "how are you?" "thanks for everything" and "see ya"
my boyfriend says he approves of me but i kind of think otherwise. :/
i really want to meet his mom though, which is really out of the ordinary for me.

my bf is a mama's boy, so she is very protective of him...but for some odd reasons she doesn't
seem to mind me... his siblings love me though, especially his sister... i have never really interacted

With my bf's parents, I think they're neutral with me. They've accepted that he and I are dating, though I have heard that before, his parents really wanted him to date their pastors daughter because they wanted her as their daughter in law but he ended up with me instead. I don't really talk with his parents because they're usually not home or they're always in their room watching tv or doing whatever they do up there.

My boyfriend's parents actually really adore me. I love how they are such friendly, openminded people. I think part of the reason they like me so much is that my boyfriend doesn't have a clean past, and now he has really turned over a new leaf, so I think they feel that if he's so serious about a girl right now, she must be good for him and isn't a bad person.

I've sat and had long chats about all kinds of random stuff with his mom, lol.
I don't see his dad much because of the hours he works but he is always nice to me ^^
Both of his sisters are really sweet too <3

My parents get on with my fiancé too so. Yay! ^^
And he gets on quite well with my younger brother too, they talk on msn and play games together sometimes ^^

It must be frustrating and difficult if the parents really disapprove strongly of your s/o ]:
I think it's really kinda selfish and pig-headed to be pissy over who your son or daughter chooses to date.
It's their life, and their choice. Some parents irrationally hate for stupid reasons like race etc and I think it's just incredibly unfair.

My girlfriend's black so her family was hesitant about me because they had few experiences with Asian people (they're from Flint, Michigan) but man, they grew to love me over the Holidays. I love them back. We have a great relationship. =D!!

My boyfriend's dad seems to like me a lot...he always tells me to stay over for dinner, watch movies with the family, go out on trips with them. He's very nice. His mum however -- she is mean, judgemental and unwelcoming, and it's all because of 1 incident that happened last summer.

I was meeting them at their house so we could all go to the seaside together. However, I'd been out the night before at my friends house and hadn't washed. I changed into some shorts, and being that I did not want to wear the same underwear, I wore none (ahem ). When I got to his parents house, I waved at his mum and said hello. She said "Maybe you should change those shorts, because I can see Japan in it's full glory right now" (I'm Japanese...getit?). My shorts had a hole in the crotch Ever since then, she branded me as a hussy and I secretly suspect she thinks I was trying to lure in her husband. Now she always makes snide comments at me and treats me like some backstreet hooker.

W/e though, I got over it a long time ago.
