So there's a thread for gift ideas, but I haven't seen one for love letter ideas and suggestions...
I'm not talking about the short, simple, mushy love letters that confess your feelings. I'm talking about letters that you write to your special someone just because you want to, or something like plane letters you'd write for someone who needs to be occupied during a long plane ride.

My boyfriend's coming to visit me by train, and his commute take upwards of three hours just to come here. I want to put together a really long, fun letter for him to occupy his time on his train ride back home, maybe turn it into a little book kinda thing.
Some ideas I'm considering to put into the letter are:
-random doodles & short comic strips
-random lyrics that remind me of him
-inside jokes & general jokes
-riddles & brain teasers
-and of course some personal mushy stuff I wanna tell him

Anyone have any other ideas or elaborations on the stuff I listed?

i did this for my bf before - but did it as a journal over a 8 + month period.
every few days that i wasn't with him - I'd write a little note
and write about what we did together if we went out on a date.

if you guys took fotos - print them out and stick it in.
I drew over the fotos and added little thot bubbles...

to go with your lyrics maybe ..... throw in a cd? ( i dont know if he'd be able to play it on the ride home.. since its rare with the cd player now adays )


if you went somewhere with him during that week .. you can put in old movie ticket stubs.. etc etc

You could write little notes on the side of the letter reminding him of some of the
special moments/laughter you guys had together

why don't you try recording your voice on a cd , tell him everything you wanna tell him:)

Make a scrapbook with pictures of you two and just write/draw whatever you want. Trust me, it will turn out great! You could stick special things you've kept from dates on the pages, i.e movie tickets and other cute stuff. And if you guys have any special or really meaningful songs together, quotes or whatever then write them down (for example, I filled up 4 pages of lyrics from zakuro, -mushi- and macabre by Dir en grey while pictures of us were scattered all over the pages). I did that for my ex-boyfriend when I couldn't be with him on his birthday and he went crazy happy over it, lol.

I don't know if this will work but I saw it in a movie one time and thought it was the cutest thing.

Give him some magazines that you've stuffed with little pieces of paper that tell him things you like about him like his smile or the way he eats his macaroni (I don't know if your bf even likes macaroni but you get the point). Flip the pages to find another note!
