Well, there's one for girls to rate guys' occupations, so I wanted to make one for girls'. smile.gif

So just copy and paste the list, then give your ratings. 1 is the lowest, 10 is the highest.

- Doctor
- School teacher
- Retail associate
- Government position (any)
- Waitress
- Massage therapist
- Dog walker
- Nurse
- Biomedical engineer
- Artist (writer, painter, musician)

*I didn't really think of jobs beforehand, so sorry if some sound similar.

Now rate away!

So just copy and paste the list, then give your ratings. 1 is the lowest, 10 is the highest.

- Doctor
- School teacher
- Retail associate
- Government position (any)
- Waitress
- Massage therapist
- Dog walker
- Nurse
- Biomedical engineer
- Artist (writer, painter, musician)

It's easiest for me to organize it this way (from most-preferred/admired to least-preferred/admired)
Artist - 10 - To me, a girl who is artistic is an incredible turn-on. And if they can make enough money at a profession utilizing their artistic capabilities (and which allow them to make use of their creativity), I find them to be quite amazing people.
School Teacher - 9 - Girls who teach elementary schoolers, kindergartners, etc. are the cutest thing ever.
Nurse - 8 - Tend to be just as intelligent as most of the Doctors I know, but also tend to be really down-to-earth people, and have more time to spend with their families than most of my friends that are either already Doctors or are aspiring Doctors (i.e. in Med school).
Biomedical Engineer - 7 - I find the amount of schooling they've probably gone through impressive, as well as the sort of intelligence I imagine it takes to grasp the subject matter, but I would likely find talking to them about their work over dinner boring.
Doctor - 6 - Usually intelligent people, I respect the amount of schooling and time they've put in to reach their professional goals, but most of the Doctors I know (and I know quite a few) don't have all that much time to spend with their families.
Government Position (any) - 5 - Could be significantly higher (or lower) depending on the position. But as it is, I'm imagining that they're a mid-level local government worker.
Retail Associate - 4
Waitress - 3
Massage Therapist - 2
Dog walker - 1

What a girl does for a living doesn't matter much to me, though. With the exception of a job that calls for her to disrespect herself (ala prostitute). I wouldn't choose to date or not to date a girl based on what she did for a living (again, with the exception of a job like prostitute). The hope is just that she has a job she's excited about and enjoys.

p.s. Ninja - 15 out of 10, Spy - 11 out of 10

- Doctor - 8 - the females I've met in medicine are incredibly smart and driven, especially so in surgery when it's a male dominated field. It's impressive, but at the same time, a bit intimidating
- School teacher - 9 - I think anyone that gives their lives to teach is impressive. Simple as that.
- Retail associate - 5 - No comment
- Government position (any) - 5 - No comment
- Waitress - 3 - Realistically, a starting position.
- Massage therapist - 6 - Who doesn't like a good massage
- Dog walker - 1 - I didn't even know this was an occupation.
- Nurse - 8 - I can't help but be impressed at the crap some nurses put up with from doctors (and wanting to be a doctor myself, I'm almost ashamed). They split time between family and their passion.
- Biomedical engineer - 8 - Anyone who does Biomedical engineering is simply talented.
- Artist (writer, painter, musician) - 10 10 10 10 10 - I love a creative girl, a bit cliche, but whatever.

- Doctor [nah, strict and overconfident. Unjustly arrogant and stuck-up because I am not 'prestigious', pronounced pree-stig-uh-us with the inflated accent.] 3/10

- School teacher [Okay, I guess, I just hope she doesn't treat me like a kid who has to obey her. She is also power hungry.] 4/10

- Retail associate [these are usually hot, because they have to be in order to get that job. either that, or be gay, of course, she's not a dude. if it's retail at Wal-Mart, no thanks. if it's LV or some other high end brand, they have to be good looking to work there, usually] 8/10

- Government position (any) [any position? so she's a cop? screw that.] 5/10

- Waitress [Yeah, if it's at a Casino, the high-end ones, or Earl's she's def good looking. Just a side note, workers at Earl's are all Caucasian, with skinny bodies and blue eyes. why the john tesh is that? 8.5/10

- Massage therapist [I think she's a prostitute on her spare time, or while on the job. A 'happy ending' 1/10

- Dog walker [No, cause she will convey the image that she is a hardcore PETA feminazi] 1/10

- Nurse [They are always working, and they are around death. Might kill mood of things.] 5/10

- Biomedical engineer [Stuck-up, by the time she has obtained this profession, she would have spent several years getting the education. She will be old by than. No thanks.] 3/10

- Artist (writer, painter, musician) [Yeah... this one is okay. I prefer painter cause I think the musician ones are all 'OMG, listen to that music, immerse yourself, express yourself, feel the inner child, listen to that chord. Writer's are the Starbucks whores I hate, the one's that type publicly on their mac so everyone can see the new novel they are writing.] 7/10

john tesh that, I know I sound arrogant. I am. But hey, i'm honest, this is what some men think of these professions.

Mwahaha! I created the original thread. smile.gif So, I will support this one.

- Doctor - 9.9 (probably old, she's in her late 20's at best and $$$)
- School teacher - 5(which grade? depends)
- Retail associate - 1 (go to school!)
- Government position (any) - (Depends, you can technically work for a company and work for the govnernment; such as working for the post office... )
- Waitress - 2 (because generally waitresses make more than retail/dog walkers)
- Massage therapist - 5 (at least she went to school?????? idk)
- Dog walker - 1 (go to school!)
- Nurse - 7 (as long as she likes it)
- Biomedical engineer - 10 (probably still young and definitely smart, early 20's at best and $$$)
- Artist (writer, painter, musician) - 4 (just because it can be cute)

It really doesn't matter for women though, but if they are raking in the cash, that's a bonus!

Biomedical engineer is the winner followed closely by the Doctor.

Wow, this thread is sooo interesting! Guys certainly have an entirely different set of criteria than the girls do hehe. I find it cute how quite a few guys are into teachers and artists. I guess girls are more...money-hungry/status-hungry when it comes to choosing their partners lol.

You know, from a guy's perspective, if a girl doesn't think a man's occupation is important, then she is stupid... no offense to anyone who things that. It's all about "survival of the fittest" and a man's occupation can definitely be a big factor.

From my personal experience, people who don't care about occupation are the people who couldn't make it far in life themselves, **** I sound mean, but that's what I see all the time.

Hey that's not true ph34r.gif I think it just depends on what kind of nurse she is...the nurses in the family practices are always cheery laugh.gif I interned in the fall in a surgery room and sometimes people did die on you but really just depends on you personally. A lot of the nurses can put aside their work when they leave and not let it interfere with their daily lives- there's really only a handful that brings the mood of the work with them...LOLL~

- Doctor - 7
I appreciate the fact that she worked hard to get her job. But chances are, as a doctor, there won't be much time to spend together.

- School teacher - 8
With this, I know that she worked hard to get her job as well but at the same time, having more leisure time. Plus, school teachers are cute, especially the elementary school ones.

- Retail associate - 2
No degree required.

- Government position (any) - 5
Well it depends on the government position, but I'm not a fan of government or politics so I'm not sure if I'd be able to discuss that subject of matter at the dinner table =)

- Waitress - 3
If we're going out, and if she's still in school, then whatever. But if we're married and she's working at some small restaurant making $10/hr. Turn off.

- Massage therapist - 2
No degree.

- Dog walker - 0
No comment.

- Nurse - 8
This is better than a doctor.

- Biomedical engineer - 6
Not too into chicks that take up engineering. Just a personal preference.

- Artist (writer, painter, musician) - 11
I absolutely LOVE girls that are artistic. If a girl can draw, play the piano (or any instrument really) or write a beautiful poem, it's just absolutely amazing. This is something that even if she didn't have a degree, it wouldn't matter because artistic talents are from within.
