So yeah. I spent the last year working my ass off to get to my goal weight. My friends and I are discussing losing 15 pounds before we go so when we gain weight, it won't be that bad. ^^;

used to all of the American food that they had and it wasn't that
appetizing anyway. Just watch what you eat.

The food court at school didn't have a lot of healthy options, though they're adding more now. Plus, you get kind of bored with the small amount of choices. And it's hard to say no to fatty foods when you're starving and it's lunch time.

I gained weight as well, this year. Not 15 lbs, probably like, 8 or 9. But still.
Oh. But it's not true for EVERYONE. My nephew lost like, 30-40 lbs when he moved out of his mom's house! So it kind of depends on the lifestyle you had, and the lifestyle you adapt.

Everyone is different. The people that are saying Freshman 15 is true are just part of the majority that don't monitor what they eat and exercise.

probably because I pigged out in the first semester whenever I got stressed (which was very often)

But yeah, I've noticed a lot of my hs friends got dramatically bigger. I can say for sure that one of my friends gained like 30-40lbs during her freshman year.
