What Do You Think About Guys Carrying Their Girlfriend's Purses? How do guys feel about this too?

Just yesterday I saw a guy with a big backpack, a textbook in his left hand, and his girlfriend's big ugly Coach bag in the right and the girl had absolutely nothing in her hands or on her back. I cringe when I see this because I say, if you're going to buy a designer bag, learn to carry it yourself. The only time I would ask my boyfriend to hold my purse is if I'm adjusting my jacket or tying my shoes, then I'll take it back.

Also, what do the guys feel about carrying their girlfriends' purses? Isn't it a big blow to your masculinity? lol

I don't think that's fair for the guys to have to carry their own stuff including their g/f's things. It just doesn't seem right to have the guy carrying all the heavy stuff and then have the girl not carry anything. But then again, some guys might like it.

Usually i carry my own bag, when he holds it for me is when its really heavy and I'm tired from walking. i feel empty without my bag around me, haha so i don't let him take it. I don't think it's wrong to have your boyfriend carry your purse/bag, it's actually normal but not when he has a shetload of things to carry also. Some guys actually like it when they carry their girlfriend's purse, makes them feel more manly? lmao. I'm looking forward to what guy's have to say about this topic.

Well I just used a big purse at school... but it wasn't big enough for my books, so I'd carry them in my hand.
My boyfriend would carry my books and I would carry my own bag.
It'd be bizarre of me to ask him to carry my bag when I can carry it myself..
He's my boyfriend; not my butler.

I think it's cute...but damn that girl is lazy!
I wouldn't give my guy my purse unless I have a lot of other things to carry.
But yeah...my bf have never carried my purse for more than 3 seconds=]

Maybe the guy is just one of those types who treat their girlfriends like the queens they are. tongue.gif
Hah, but in all seriousness, there are guys who are just over-the-top gentlemen and refuse to let their girlfriend lift so much as a finger.

My boyfriend is a strange one.. He'll take my bag when it's particularly heavy, but he won't hold it the normal way. He'll just hold onto any part of the bag but the handles. Carrying my bag the normal way is apparently too girly. dry.gif So I don't like him carrying my bags.. I'm afraid he'll ruin them hahaa

It's a sweet gesture when a guy offers to hold his gf's bag, but when the girl actually expects her bf to carry her bag all the time, then she's just a lazy little biznatch.

Side note: If I'm not mistaken, a bf carrying his gf's purse was a big trend in Korea years back. huh.gif

I think the gesture is sweet - the girl described in the first post is just.. yeah... not a good example for girls lols
but yeah, on the occassional nights we get dressed and go out, i bring a small purse, and he'd just take it and put it in his pocket for 'safety' lols <3
I have issues with him carrying my bag though ahah ^^"

To him and to me its really caring.

I think its much more weirder to walk around and see guys carrying their OWN purses...

if the girl made the guy carry it, then i'll be like "girl, why even buy a designer purse when you're not even going to carry it yourself?"
but if the guy offered, then okay ... but i still find it weird when a guy is carrying their girlfriend's purse, especially when he has on a huge backpack and a textbook in one arm.
