Haha of course we all have those day dreams of dating our favorite celeb, but what do you think the chances are for that sort of thing to actually happen?

Having a crush on a guy is great and all, but I know people who just won't date anyone because of their obsessiveness with a celeb. The chances are small so most of the time I want to slap the common sense into them. plus you won't even know how their true persona is like. They might be an angel in front of the camera and fans, but behind close doors they might be a monster

Chances are quite slim unless they work closely with actual celebrity.

Celebrities date celebrities because they work/see each other more often and have more chances to get closer to each other.

To be honest, most celebrity x celebrity relationships don't work out because of the press and pressure from fans.

As for fans and celebs? I highly doubt it. Fans like to put their celebs on a pedestal. If you've ever experienced that, it's really tiring. I think the celeb would be tired of being expected to do this or that (even if fans say they don't expect anything it's not true. They've already formed their own skewed conceptions of that person).

I think, celeb dating a random person he/she meets on the street/cafe/bookstore or whatever is more likely (to work out, but less likely to occur).

PPS. I think most celebrities have a big personality defect. They might act a certain way around people on shows, but let's remember they know it'll affect their PUBLIC IMAGE. Most celebs are divas.

It has happened before.. I can't think of anyone off the top of my head, but it's not like it has never happened before.
Unfortunately, these people have to be really resilient to criticism, hate mail, rumors, gossip, etc, which will come at that 100x worse than for their celebrity partners. Usually, that's why dating-wise, most normie/celeb couples don't last.

Also.... at least for the korean entertainment industry, you CAN meet certain celebrities but you have to have really, really good connections. Like, if you can get into hot clubs/bars in Kangnam, Seoul, you can probably meet celebrities... which means you have a slight chance of actually hooking up with them. But at the same time, most of the celebrity/normal people couples usually meet through mutual friends.

Anyway, I don't know why I'm rambling....
I just know that it's possible.. but I don't know that I personally would actually want to date a celebrity!

The celebrity dating another celebrity thing only happens because they don't go out much and can't really meet other people as easily.
I know that a few celebrities have said that they've caught a fans eye before but lost them after.

Some of them also say that they want to get married to a fan, but I doubt they mean an obsessive one.
Just one that respects what they do.

Impossible, unless the stranger doesn't know that the celebrity is a celebrity, then it would safe for the celebrity to think they're not just using them. It's kind of hard to meet someone genuine knowing that they know you're someone famous.

although I def agree about how stupid it is to be so hung up on a celeb.

i think the chancces are slim too, & it really depends on the celeb's real personality & how you feel about them. personally, i think a fan-celeb relationship won't work out. the fan will love the celeb even if he/she does anything bad to them. a random chance meeting between a person who doesn't know the celeb might work better - then they will not judge them.
