I've tried this dish before when I was little, and I don't like it at all.
It's mushy, slimy, and chewy, and just Ugh >____<;;

Have anyone ever tried it?
If so, is it one of your favorite dish?

the taste of garlic, parsley, and butter and a bit of chewiness are all i remember from the times i've had escargot.
i don't seek it out, but i won't turn it down if it's offered to me.

My mum loves it.

I think it looks and sounds horrible, although I've never tried it, and I don't think I ever will.

Yes, I've tried it before. I haven't had it recently though...so I wonder if my opinion of it will change.

The last time I had it was when I was in 7th grade. Our French class took a trip to the local French Restaurant for lunch.

You seriously can't beat the garlic herb butter sauce that the snails are stewed in and you eat it with toasted bread. It's just like eating garlic bread with some meat. But it tastes better with small snails if the snail is too big then you get that chewy snail meat taste...yucky.

Escargot is really great. Like everyone above said, the sauce used is awesome.

I think it's one of those things that people can't get over the idea of, just because it's snails.
Which is weird, because fish swim in dirty water all day, and cows and livestock are in dirty cages all day. Hell, vegetables grow out of the ground.

Oh god yes! They are absolutely amazing! They have such a unique texture and a very subtle but poignant taste. And it's really good with garlic oil and a bit of lemon.

I want them NOW!!
