Currently I can't download or save anything.

Everytime I right click -> Save As -> Press Save, the window will freeze and I have to "end process" in the Task Manager >.<.

At first I thought the problem belongs to Internet Explorer but now I realize I can't "Save" things like image or word document either. I can still download if I just click download and click Run (which will automatically save to Temporary Folder), but if i choose a folder to save it, the problem will occur.

Did any of u guys have this problem before? Is there way to fix it? Its so painful not to be able to download anything. tears.gif thankssss so much

You might have saved to a different drive before.. as in saved to a drive that you removed so when you click Save As... it wont know where to look for the last place you saved your files...

Lets try some registry hacking
Click Start> Run> type REGEDIT

go to
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer
(click the + and navigate until you find it)
The main key in that directory is "Download Directory". Mine defaults to C:\Documents and Settings\awdark\Desktop. If that doesnt look right, say it points to Z: and you dont have a Z: then double click it and change it to C: or something.
Basically report back what you see if you dont know what you are doing

thanks for replying

I tried what u said. I dont have "Download Directory" but I only have "Download" .. it said "Value not set" next to it.

I took a screen capture of what I have in "Download" but when I tried to upload it in photobucket, the part where I have to browse for a picture, it froze when I click on My Picture ... just like when I try on a folder to download my stuff

I dont know if this is leading anywhere productive or not. But lets continue this and see what the results are.

IPB Image
If you double click it you can edit the string.
If you right click, New>String you can call it Download Directory and set its vaule to C:

I would offer firefox but I dont think you can downlaod that either >_<

I did wat u said above, and it works perfectly now. It was set to "C:\Documents ... \My Movies" at first, so I just set it to C: and it works now ^^.

THank u so much [hug hug] wub.gif
