Have You Ever Had A Teacher

Who literally sucks at teaching and it drives you insane?
Im not trying to sound mean or anything but Im seriously pissed off with all the teachers I have this year.
Im in year 10 and never in my last three years of high school have I ever had teachers this crap.
I love English, but my English teacher teaches me nothing she doesnt even correct our work properly.
A few days ago we had to do our oral presentation on the book, To Kill a Mockingbird. I went up and did mine the next day, my friend who had been having some issues didnt get time to do hers so I gave her my speech and told her to alter things just in case. She went up and didnt alter anything and basically read off my cue cards and the teacher didnt even notice. Most of the students did and looked back at me and smiled.
Another incident didnt involve me but someone I knew who had the same teacher.
The student had to write an essay and in the middle of her body paragraph she wrote,
Hi Mrs _____, How are you?
And the teacher gave her ticks and a HIGH mark for her papers.
My classmate handed in her creative writing piece but forgot to hand in the second half of it.
The teacher marked it as a HIGH and even wrote, Great suspense build up. THE STORY WASNT EVEN COMPLETED!
Seriously, wtf?
Dont get me started with my maths teacher. He makes life a living hell for me.
He even thinks that my friends and I are snorting substances which shouldnt be snorted.
Yes, he thinks were on crack!
The only decent teacher I have this year is my Science teacher.
I loved all my previous teachers some were strict but at least they could teach.
Do you have problems with your teachers?
Rant it out my friend.

We get an article and are told to annotate. We get the book 'In Cold Blood' and we're told to annotate. We get a reading assignment in our textbook and surprisingly [NOT] we have to annotate..
He doesn't do anything but tells us to annotate. When we have to answer questions at the end of our reading assignments, he doesn't check them in, or he'll take them and never hand them back out.
We don't know what he takes for a grade. We'll take vocab quizzes and he'll never hand them back out..
When we write essays [rhetorical analysis, persuasion, synthesis, etc] he'll collect them but not grade them. Or he'll grade them, hand them back, and then move on. I usually scored a bit above average on them, but he never helped us to improve. When we ask for help, he'll say that it's good the way it is, but we don't score well.
And the thing that ticked me off most was that we didn't have a final. Or at least I don't think we did, lol. The last week for Seniors [we get out a week earlier than the rest of the school] he gave everyone a sheet that had directions for a movie analysis. He gave us one day to work on it and the rest of the time, he never told us anything.. The day before the day we were suppose to have our final, he told us to give a review of the movie we chose.. and that was it. The day of the final, we watched a movie...
I don't know, I'm just glad to be away from him, lol T_T

Bio teacher: marking scheme makes no sense. esp for tests. if you are a mid-high 90s student she wont give you marks that SHOULD be given to you on tests. Constantly loads you with textbook questions that are to be handed in, every week. Theres always at least 2-3 assignments each week. Oh and our summative was a fetal pig dissection lab and she told us to hand it in after exams after the whole semester was over. which is impossible because how can you input those marks after all other marks are submitted into the system.
Physics. Damnnnn we actually had an amazing teacher for the first month and a half. then what happens? he goes part time so we end up with this NOOB teacher, and its his first year of teaching. so uh... he cant even control 25 high school kids and he makes mistakes on his tests (he should have just used some old tests instead of making his own). I had to study from the textbook a lot, by myself.
Both of these were last semmy.

Mr.Stern - my English teacher was a train wreck of a teacher. I could have stem celled a
clone of my freshmen self and improvidently taught myself- and I would have learned more
than I did in his class,
Miss. Lebron - Your teaching just SCREAMS first year teaching (and it was).
10th grade
Mrs. Falcone - You teach like the cement that I walk on, plainly so, most if not
all the students in your public speaking class was still the acute speaker they walked in the door with.
Mrs. Carlson - You just suck. Big Time. Slap us an assignment and expect me to take you seriously?
Not a chance. This is writing workshop not the ****in mental stress institution- try the asylum if that was what you were
aiming for.
Mr.Frank - If your teachers knew that you grew up to become a health teacher they would be spinning in their graves?
WOW. How can I take you seriously now? It doesn't help that your voice is the monotone like it is.
11th grade
Mr.Halladay - You need control over your class you really do. Please try to be professional
and control your students. Oh and also (I know its hard) but try to conceal the fact that you're dumb,
don't effin tell us you're dyslectic.

oh my god... you sound like you were in the same AP English class as me. We also read excerpts from In Cold Blood and our teacher was soooo terrible at teaching. =_____= it doesn't help that our year gave her the best scores out of the three years that she was teaching AP (they thankfully put a new teacher in this year). I hate her with a passion!! She never gave us feedback on our papers--not to mention she never taught us how to write appropriately for AP standards and she never assigned papers until mid winter, and even then she was never efficient about it. I hated her class because she never rose the bar and never challenged us. Hello lady, this is AP ... this is an advanced course with kids who enrolled for the sake of challenging themselves!! sigh... that class killed me. The only breath of fresh air that I got was when we had a student teacher come in. =___=V

My AP World history teacher during my sophomore year was the exact same. Her grading was NEVER consistant.
Most of my classmates would BS the essay portions of the exams and still receive high scores.

My english teacher was the worst teacher ever!
Seriously, the teacher described in the first post sounds just like her!
She seriously favors some people and only gives good marks to them
One time, my friend wrote an assignment and another person copied the exact same thing.
He didnt even change one thing about it.
and the person that copied my friend got a higher mark then her!!
and another time, i had forgotten to finish a short story assignment
so i handed it in when it was only half done
and i got 95% on it O.o
She was like "Great ending! Nice suspense."
and throughout the whole year, she didn't teach us a single thing!
We had reading classes twice a week, a free period once a week,
and the other two classes were spent on doing whatever assignment
she came up with just to waste time >.>
What a waste of a year of learning...

I seem to have the kind of luck that ends me up with terrible teachers.
My Geometry teacher freshmen year. Let me give my experience:
He wasn't completely terrible personality-wise, but he can't teach for the life of him.
For the first few minutes of class he will go over homework and give out answers.
Then, he has literally piles of worksheets in the back that we're supposed to take and work on.
For the rest of the period.
Every day.
Lol.
I'm not kidding, he just wants to avoid teaching.
This is EXACTLY what he said "Anyone have any questions?--OK go do your hw."
And on his tests, he would put the EXACT same questions as the study guide.
On the last part of the year he finally figured that everyone was just remembering all the answers.
So he only changed some numbers on the questions =__= lol wow. Such a genius.
And this year I have an even worse Algebra 2 teacher XD
Seriously everyday she always says "WE DON'T HAVE ANY TIME" and wants us to get on to doing hw.
But the thing is, we have no clue wth she is teaching because she expects us to write the notes in 2 mins
--while at the same time, we have to understand what she is teaching while we're writing @ super-fast-lightning-speed @__@
Then there's my Chemistry teacher who makes the corniest jokes ever about Starbuck's and has a day just for "bad jokes"
There are people who literally SLEEP in his class yet he gets mad if you use your cellphone or listen to music.
He pays attention to the most useless crap like the "heading" of your homework and takes off points for not doing it correctly.
But he doesn't actually pay attention to the actual HW that we do so everyone ends up BS-ing most of it.
I failed his class so now I have to retake it. And WTF I was in honors! (Which sucks even more) T__T
People in his class have told me that they pay attention to the book more than the teacher.
The only way you can get by in any of those classes is if you: cheat or understand the book > teacher

My physics teacher is a complete waste of time.
Now, personally, physics is already a difficult subject.
It's not like the other sciences (biology and chemistry)...it's just different.
And he just SUCKS at teaching and doesn't explain ANYTHING.
He'd just work out the problem on the board and be like "TA-DA!"
We'd ask him to explain to us, and he'd just be like "it's on the board!"
And he's just such a creep.
Yeah, I just hate his guts.

:::9th grade:::
Home economics type class - Teacher couldn't control the class and was a bit rude and grumpy. So...all I really learned was how to cook a few meals and write a check.
Honors English - Teacher couldn't teach worth crap. She was a major push over and we barely did anything.
:::10th grade:::
Pre-AP Biology - Teacher was sooo relaxed that I didn't really learn anything. Then she became pregnant so we had a substitute for the rest of the school year, and I definitely didn't learn a thing. We did pointless assignments that taught us nothing, and I guess the substitute had a little favoritism system going on. I guess I was one of her favorites because I kinda sucked up to her (hahaha!) and I was friends with her daughter.
Honors English - Teacher didn't really care much for our class. She made us write essays in like...November, but she didn't grade them until June and didn't bother putting them into the grade book. She only really cared for her journalism class, so she kind of skipped a lot of things.
:::11th grade:::
A.P. English - Teacher can be a nice person...it's just that she can't teach. She was trying to teach us about certain grammatical rules, but no one understood her mumbo jumbo. When she was explaining to us about our research papers, a kid asked her a question that basically reworded her explanation, but she was all, "No. That's not right." I missed an assignment because I was sick and she wrote down what I had to do, but marked me down a TON because my replies weren't 3-5 sentences...she NEVER told me to write 3-5 sentences. I even showed her the paper she wrote the directions on and she was just like, "Oh...well...maybe you shouldn't have missed school."
and I said, "Well...I had the flu. How could I go to school?"
Her: "Maybe you shouldn't have been sick."
I was like what the crap. I didn't choose to be sick! And she wouldn't change my grade because she told me I'd get an A in the class anyways. I did get an A...but barely.
She also made us take these quizzes for "practice" a few weeks before the A.P. exam, and we've only taken one of those practice quizzes sooo practically everyone failed. As a result, our grades began to slip so we begged her to curve our grades and she told us, "I tried curving them, but your guys' grades went down when I did."
How do the grades go down when you curve the scores?
By the end of the school year, so many kids had C+ and below.
Chemistry - I swear...this teacher hated me. She messed up on my grade numerous times and she couldn't teach. I was so pissed that I was on the edge of complaining to the principal to fire her.
Spanish - Teacher was a nice person, but he was a bit off and a tad boring. He couldn't control the class very well, and he cracked jokes that were sometimes inappropriate for school. He didn't really try and teach the kids who couldn't understand his teaching, and seemed to pick on this guy all the time.

9th Grade
-Freshman Writing - The woman was freaking Bipolar! One minute, she's dancing to music on her computer then the next minute, she shrieking her head off at us even though nobody did anything. She just gave us example poems and tell us to write something similar to it. Most kids just copied the poem and they still got 100!
-Gym/Health teacher- She just play favorites with the cheerleaders just because she's the cheerleading coach as well. On the days we're in the classroom, she's on her cell chatting away with her friends talking who passed out in the club this past weekend and other inappropriate stuff. It seems like her maturity level has gone up since she was in Middle School.
-Integ. Science - This man DID NOT TEACH A SINGLE THING! He just gave As to those who actually behaved themselves which were 2 other people beside myself. He just let the class get out of control while he surfs on the internet and watch movies. The only reason they let him keep his job because he's the "best darned" football coach my school's seen in years. So my school would rather jeodarize kids' education so they could win a couple of football games. That's bull.
10th Grade (I actually had a fair share of really good teachers this year)
-Creative Writing- I have no idea how this man even graduated High School let alone college. He tries SO hard to be a one of the "cool" kids (Note: NOT TEACHER) so he hangs out with the kids all the time, lets them skip class and hide in his class, give out free As, etc so they like him. He looks EXTACTLY like the Penguin villian from Batman Returns, that's no extagarration. His mom works at the front office too so how much you bet she got him the job? I left his class after a week.
-Photography- The woman's rasict, I swear. I'm only 1/4 Asian but she goes around calling me a half-breed nearly all the time. Shes always tries to fail me or this other girl in my class whose Indian but we always take our projects to the Head Art teacher in order to get a fair grade otherwise she'll be pointing out all these "flaws" which were the purose of the picture.
